Light at the end of the tunnel, 37 years old and get an offer for Ryan.
I want to share my experience.
Background and experience: Basic MCC A320 (the cheapest I found), I save some money for SIM preparation, I think was the key. I went to Nexodynamics in Barcelona and did 20 hs (10 PM/ 10 PF) Modular training, PPL and time building in Argentina. Specific hours in Spain (Aerolink). 208 TT ICAO 5 Actual job Lifeguard.
Applied 02/11/2022
Email for online assessment 16/01/2023,
I spent one week practicing with PASS and did the online assessment and received positive results on 26th January.
16/02/23 email for Dublin assessment on 8th of March
13/03/23 Positive result from the cadet recruitment department offering TR for the 15th of May.
Recommendations: Buy a PASS subscription, practice and read all the feedbacks, the online assessment was the same as PASS, just practice and research for new questions.
Go to any 737 SIM and practice the assessment, there is no surprise, learn the profile by heart and the pitch and power for the SIM.
Be 100 aware of what the instructor tells you at the assessment and USE IT
Review all the possible questions for HR and get an answer ready
The tech part for me were two questions about my past AC (PA11 from the ‘47), so I studied a lot about the 737 and nothing, so be prepared and open to answering anything.
Again, read PASS feedback from the last year, all is there.
SIM: Ready to copy clearance, Liverpool, Bart 1T, clear to 5000 ft, and squawk code. Reaching 5000 AT off, FD off. No radial interceptions. Abnormal situation: ATC called that weather at the destination (Dublin) was terrible, many AC diverting, so PIOSEE (or similar), ATC, NITS, PA and set for the APP, radar vectors for ILS 27. Then where you are, it was quick, just point on the chart using the tail of the NDB. At 800 ft approx, visual, ILS off, continued with PAPI, try to land on the centerline.
There is no more to share, all are in PASS and practice with a SIM.
Good luck, and thank you for the feedback.

Buzz cadets
Hello,
does someone have a screenshot about the Buzz cadets from RYR web? It is not on Ryanair website anymore but I would like to know more (yes, it’s not there because it’s no validation anymore but I still want to know
). I checked this threat but only found some info that It’s the “contractor contract”. Thank you!

He guys,
I was wondering how the salary of Ryr contracts are looking right now? Do they offer 100% contracts now for FO's or still the covid paycut?
Are the numbers on the internet still accurate? I came across 72k gross in the first year as an FO (based on 850 hours yearly). Is this true? Would appreciate any feedback!
Cheers

15.11.2022 positive Confirmation
08.12.2022-14.01.2023 Ryanair Mentored APS MCC
11.02.2023 Applied to Ryanair Cadet Programm
15.02.2023 Invitation to the Assesment in Dublin
06.03.2023 Assesment
13.06.2023 positive Confirmation
Mai 2023 Begin Typerating course
Got no new feedback. All have been said already and is correct. I got no Question about the 737, but got asked about Piston engines (AVGAS / DIESEL) and how they work. And about my planes I flew so far ( first and second one, I have 14 in total in my logbook). Interview took about 10-15 min
/ Sim about 70 Min. We got inflight Airways closed/ and luggage on board without the passenger boarded. Always talk and keep your partner in the loop. Listen what Info they give you. When they say 4° pitch 55%, just do it^^ Ultra relaxed and polite. You CAN make mistakes. Identify/Veryfy/correct them = all is fine. We both landed on first approach.
Loved their HQ open office style. They joke alot and want to know if they would like to spend time in the cockpit with you. First thing they said to us " Hi, We want you all, don´t make it complicated.... When it feels complicated then it´s probably wrong"

info about me: im 23 with normal MCC applied 08/11/22 got email for online assessment 01/02/23 did it on the 4/02 and was told i will be in the hold pool for the face to face interview and sim assessment. Got invitation on the 01/03 and my assessment day was 15/03
I did my sim prep at AFA 2h pm 2h pf
the day of the interview: my group was mostly spanish people 2 portugese and 1 dutch and then me.
I had my interview with ken and a hr lady. She started first: tell me abot yourself, why ryanair, a tell me a bout a time question based on my cv, why would i be a good capt, what was my biggest achievement so far, why are sops important, can i pay, have i applied elsewhere.
tech: ken went through my log book, asked me which engines did my first plane and my last plane have, what is the best propeller pitch for take off, what about max speed, what are the 3 things which make the single engine aircraft yaw to the left, what is a critical engine and why is it a critical engine on my me aircraft i flew, why do i not change the fuel selector after run up on my previous aircraft
jet question: pic of 737 tell me which parts are heated, how many pitot tubes, are all the windows heated, how many alpha vanes, static ports, how many and are they heated? good what about the engines, are they heated, bleed air or electrically? from which stage of the compressor is the bleed air taken from, what about wings are they heated? why do we have a washout on the wing?
For sim I had ken as well I was pm first sid was east midlands tnt 2n. fd and ath on. after level off they go off and then speed up to 250 and then turn heading xxx . climb to altitude 8000 with 1500fpm while climbing turn to heading xxx. stay on heading to intercept radial xxx from trent. steep turn. what is your bearing to ndb , what will be the hold entry, but no holding done. then came problem, my sim partner had gen failure source off I had problem with the air conditioning. PIOSEE NITS PA set up for the approach identify where u are with qdr and brief the approach, take controls and land.
idk if i passed or not i will know on monday, ken was quite helpful though. If i didnt know something he would just tell me. he even helped out people in the sim

i said to balance the fuel cuz thats what i was told.
He added just to not to fiddle around with it incase i leave it accidentally close it or leave it in an improper selection and then i might have an engine failiure on take off. idk. this question was related to the the tecnam p2002 which i flew

Hi All, long-time listener, first-time caller. - Is there now an ATPL Section on the AON / Cut-E Online application? Or is it all still Psychometric, Reasoning and Video tests? Thanks!

Hi guys, first time on PPRuNe as a subscribed user. I'm finishing the CPL/Ir in 2 months, then big doubt on where and on what aircraft do the APS MCC. I'm also considering the RYR mentored for the APS MCC but I honestly don't know the RYR assessment situation. Rumors say RYR is reducing a lot the hiring rates..
Just if someone can give me a piece of advice or personal experience.
Thank you so much in advance

Hi everyone,
Do you know if, for Ryanair, the IR has to be valid for the start of the type rating or the start of the base training, or for the selection process ? It's been 4 months I've applied and still no answer, even though I did my training in a known school with an APS MCC (apparently I'm not the only one though). I'm desperate lol
