Air Atlanta icelandic relief pilot

Hi guys! Anybody here has got an Skype interview to Air Atlanta as relief pilot b747 in Jeddah base?
Is the company providing the TR?
What is the salary rate?
Please tell me if you hear something about it.

Applied few weeks ago, called them last week and they told me that they will start seeing the applications by the end of this month.

Was invited to a Skype interview between October 17th-25th...They mentioned assessments will be held between Nov 5th-8th (did not say where), for a type rating in 2020 in London.

I did not go through with the Skype interview as I have got another offer. Good luck to those who've applied.

Good luck! However do you know any information about the opportunity? I mean if the TR is provided by the company or not?

Regarding TR, they provide you with TR, but you have a couple of options you can choose. For that you should check the information provided by the agency. It is clearly stated what you can choose.

I most probably will also go to assessment but for FO position.

I think they require at least 300 hour TT

For relief pilot 200tt with 70hrs pic in that total. So anyone coming from flight school is eligible.

This is hilarious. It's based in Jeddah and they still need EU citizenship! So people from Jeddah can't even work there.

It's a European airline and they operate out of Frankfurt-Hahn and Liège.

It’s Air Atlanta Icelandic, based in Iceland? The clue is in the name. Anyway, it’s a Charter and ACMI operation wet leasing aircraft worldwide.

Maybe you should first gather more information on the airline you want to apply for...

Air Atlanta Icelandic is an EASA carrier, flying both passenger and cargo B747-400’s Worldwide.
They also operate the A340-300 For Air Madagascar.

As a flightcrew member for AAI, you will be required to operate Worldwide, including being based for longer periods in the EU. Jeddah is not their only base, and half of the fleet is based in Western Europe.
You also need an EASA license.

The Cruise Relief pilot/ Second Officer programme is a fantastic opportunity for cadets, with possibilities to grow fairly quickly within an established company that is making profits, is medium sized and offers some of the best training and flying experience in the World.

2 years. Base is jeddah but you'll do long stints all over the world, living at hotels for a few days at a time. Very nice hotels from what I heard but you'll be in Africa for a week then America, pretty random.

It's great for young cadets and my friend inside said the take-home isn't bad but it's a single young guys game. Forget having a family or a life outside of hotels.

Could someone please give a rough idea of the average cruise pilot monthly take home salary?

Do they put cruise pilots on lots of flights to get their hours up or only on the long duty days where they are actually required/useful?

Yes yes you're all right. They are based there but the position of Cruise Relief Pilot is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I don't know much about terminology but I do know that a base is where you work and return to and also where your contract will be.

In addition to the above they've bumped up the requirements up to 300/400 actual flight hours which is out of the range of anyone out of flight school, unless you were really bad and had to do it twice!

EDIT: Also, Iceland isn't even in the EU!

I can confirm you they use cruise reliefs also in Europe. Out of Liège and Hahn they have long flights to Africa.

about £10 a day I’d imagine.
