I would like to add some details about my experience.
I went for the famous irish low cost airline, and failed.
I decided to do some more hours in a sim, and furthermore an interview preparation course (full day, not only the interview, but also group exercises, CV revision etc., got a good feedback from them).
Went in Germany for an interview for EW, the took only 1 guy out of 6, the only one with a 15 years career.
I passed the DLR test, for a Lufthansa subsidiary, but I failed the next step.
Actually I passed the aptitude tests and sim session for another one, I'm waiting now the call for the next and last step, nobody showed up yet, and I'm not even sure if the will in a reasonable period.
There are some opportunities on the market for unexperienced pilots, yes. But very limited, and you have to be in the luckiest 1, 2 or 3, over 10/20/30.
The decision I have taken to go for this P2F, it's not a sign of giving up, but a will to compete in the market.

If you're trying to justify the extra 70k € under "living expenses" that's 3900€/month in a 18 months course for a shared house...
120.000 euros for a CPL it's an honest price if you get 100 MEP hours. Anything other than that is pure profit or a hidden P2F, depending on how you want to see it.
And he's right, you can get a TR and 500 hours for less than that.
If you guys apply only for big boys then you're screwed. Competeing with umpteen people with reasonable experience. The label may say they take newbies, but the truth is there's plenty of TP guys up for the same job.
Try small operators who are always short of crews, if not now then in few months. And make a personal contact with these operators' management. Emails without at least voice behind them are skipped.

I disagree. 120.000€ for a CPL is not justifiable unless you use a MEP for the HB.
So if the HB is on a SEP, you'll be paying 120+25(TR) thousands euros for your training plus "the opportunity" to fly for that airline. Well, that's pretty near P2F to my eyes, especially considering there are pure P2F schemes less expensive than that...

It is really interesting how some people think all MPLs are completely different from getting a frozen ATPL plus a time building on a jet. AAA charged €100K+, they paid around €1K during the line flying and guaranteed 1500h on the bus, w/o any sort of job guarantee afterwards.
On the other hand my freinds did line training with the notorious P2F provider, Small Planet, were paid ~€500/month and got hired after completion of the 500 hours with a permanent contract and a few times higher salary even tho it wasn't guaranteed in the begining. I don't see much of a difference between these two, except having different titles !
