Anyone else’s upload failing? Gets to 100% and just says upload failed and to retry upload? I’ve only completed the first question of the interview

Does anyone have any tips for the interview portion? Is it behavioural and/or competency based questions and if so how many?

Also has anyone found any decent practice tests for deductive logical reasoning? Only one I’ve still to do and struggling!

thanks! Good luck to everyone.

all done!!

Completed everything this morning. Overall I thought it was very fair and also a good exercise. Fingers crossed I get the nod for the next stage. I’d imagine it’s going to be at least 4 weeks so wouldn’t expect to hear anything until week commencing 19th August.

In previous years application numbers have reached 8,000... this year it didn’t seem to be overly publicised so hopefully less than that apply. But hey, if your not in you can’t win!

It won't allow me to post the WhatsApp group invite link

There was almost 8,000 applicants last year with only 18 spaces.

One would need to be competitive given that competition will probably increase this year.

Hi guys,

I completed my assessment this morning in one sitting. Definitely didn't complete in the recommended 120 minutes as suggested in the email. Could potentially have been 3/4 hours. Does anyone know if this is monitored or taken into account?

Thanks.

I have maths and monitoring ability left to do! To be honest I've been putting them to one side to finish off tonight but the more prep I do the more apprehensive I am. Do you know if they ask about voltages etc. I've actually never even done those calculations in school so I'm trying to give myself a crash course LOL!!! Also do they ask the area of prisms etc?
i was working late last night/this morning so I saw this past the event I reckon 🙂 fairly easy maths in the end but that timer makes the difference.

i left maths and the deductive reasoning purposefully and I was pleasantly surprised when I realised I didn’t realise what it actually was, did ok I reckon but not amazing. Some of this lot was easier than previous years, especially the tunnel one and the multi tasking exercise, some tasks were harder than others (rbi even though I was convinced I’d got my head around it!). Overall I think I stand a better chance than other years but the rbi sticks in my head as dragging me back. We shall see.

I know it’s unlikely but it would be good if they told you where you fell short (if you did) but I understand given the volume it’s unlikely.

Good luck to everyone though

The interview basically asks you why you applied for the programme, and Aer Lingus in particular. Typical HR questions in any interview.
In regards to 'Deductive-logic thinking', the test is a timed version of Latin squares. If you look up Latin squares you will get plenty practice.
Hope this helped

Highly doubt it, I did mine over 2/3 days and I'm not worried.

Hello all! I finished all tests today! Good luck everyone! I guess everyone on this forum are well prepared, with a certain look beyond the 'horizon'.

One question to all of you - maybe even with some who have already experienced it - what will be next potential steps if you are invited to Dublin? Another full day of computer based assessment + second day with interviews etc.?

Does anyone know how the aptitude tests are scored? Do you need to do well in each test to make it through? Or is there an aggregate score across all the tests?

Does anyone know after completing stage 1 & 2 do you get a confirmation email to confirm submission? or is it just a case of once you've completed all tasks no further action is required? Thanks!

mboqseif - well i really hope after all of these years of trying that you get a chance to be called to interview and hopefully ill be sitting alongside you up there

Just finished everything less than an hour ago and maths wasn't too bad but there were some little things that caught me out but overall I'm happy with it! I was having to consult my teenage cousin to re-teach me areas and squares because the examples on latestpilotjobs were much tougher so I was very nervous.

The only thing that unnerves me is that if you go into the personality test, even though I got the notification at the end that I had completed it and that my results are saved it seems to be allowing me back in to progress through it again which is a bit strange. I presume we won't be getting a notification to let us know that the application has been successfully received.

So here begins the 6/7 week wait until this forum starts to blow up again!! haha

We should all be done by now.. I doubt it’s all about getting a high score, otherwise the test would be submitted in another way I think..
When do you (you guys that already tried last year) think we will get an answer from AL?

Finished everything and submitted with 14 mins to go.

That was a bit stressful. Interviews are always the worst.

Good luck everyone.

I submitted at 5.10 Irish time , would you say I'm ruled out ? Issues were due to very slow video upload speed and had emailed them before 5 to let them know I would be late, would you say I have no chance now ?! Honest answers please lol

Hi everyone!

hope everything went well for you guys! I was wondering, how many questions did you guys get through on the verbal reasoning? There were 49 questions and I got through 27... i know they say to expect to not finish them all, but still seems pretty low to me... thanks!

27 is about right. Many people do not even get half the 49 done.

Thought the assessments went well and this is my 3rd year doing them. Do not think I did well enough overall to get through as I would imagine the results need to be exceptional but we will see. Fluffed 2 numerical reasoning questions which should have been one of the more simple components. Deductive logical thinking also was very tricky. I thought the Compass and RBI was simple as I finally got my head around it having struggled in previous years. Its one of those things that takes a while but when you finally understand, it just clicks.
Good luck everyone.
