MCC JOC sufficient prep?

I'm hearing a lot of feedback from some MCC courses that all operation is "on automatics as it's all about CRM rather than flying". I can't believe this is developing sufficient ability for airline selection which predominantly is hand flying and wonder what the current chop rate is for applicants from these training providers? Are these MCC courses any good or just a box tick?

The MCC part of the course should be focusing on the CRM side of flying, whilst the JOC part on handling characteristics.

Both parts of course should prepare you well for your first airline assessment.

Before deciding which MCC course to attend, discuss your concerns with the provider.
Although automatics are used extensively, hand flying must be part of it so that the appropriate exchanges occurs between the PF & PM.
Vectoring to a RAW DATA ILS & G/A should be included in the APS course.
