While I have not been invited to the assessment, I feel it is safe to say you should focus more on the operative side of the theory. With this, I mean weather forecasting and METAR/TAF decoding, thunderstorms and fronts, definitions of dry, moist, wet and contaminated runway, air law and ops, especially take off segments, go around segments as well as certification gradient requirements. Good understanding of the relationship between VMCG, V1, VMCA, VR, V2 and how they change according to TORA, TODA, ASDA, balanced condition and so on. I would not expect questions about the ICAO council or tachometers.

as far as they told me, it will be held in Crawley nearby Gatwick.
it all shifted to the 7th of august at least for me,
i am not sure how long it takes, but I did apply at the end of June.

Sim assessment
Hey guys. Got through the First stage of the assessment.
Atpl test wasn’t tough but did make me think a lot due to how basic some of it was. Basically speed distance time calculations, knowledge about the company, reading and deciphering weather charts and TAFs, vor and modulation, but remember everyone’s tests are different.
Group exercise was fun. A little tough for sure but if you all work together and ensure everyone gets a say then would be good. Competency interview was tough. Definitely got me thinking. Examples of leadership communication etc but also a lot of ‘how you would’ handle a situation in the cockpit.
I have my sim assessment tomorrow so if anyone has any feedback from the sim assessment I’d appreciate it!

At that fee, they are not only covering the costs of simulator hiring but getting a nice little cushion of profit. I heard on good authority that the gent responsible for the simulators they use, is now being asked by his company to step down. I also met two people who have passed the assessment two years ago and never got jobs, so where is the money?
I wouldn't bother with it to be honest.
