I don't think they'll start sending updates before Sunday (when they stop taking applications).

Anyone else getting an error message when they go to log into Aer Lingus Careers? Something to do with NGA software?

I found a way around it Ian and applied ... successfully however not received an email which it said on the website was down to technical issues. I'm going to pop them a quick email to ensure it has been received.

Good luck everyone

Exciting, I've just applied. I got down to the very last round with Aer Lingus - but that was quite a few years ago when it was known as the the Cadet programme - interested to see how the assessment process has changed in recent years. Good luck to all.

I've just applied for this, found out about very late (from Facebook of all places...)

Anyway, good luck to everyone who has applied - hopefully other airlines, even mainline BA (given the IAG link) may eventually follow this model. I'm sure the number of potentially very capable pilots denied a professional aviation career due to not having the £100,000 + most airlines require must be horrendous.

I'm 28 and come from an IT background so far but initially tick all the boxes, so we'll see

That's at least two of us then! Applied the other day and despite knowing they won't be saying diddly until all have been screened, still can't help getting odd the flutter when an email comes through.

Anyway, best of luck to all who have applied. At least I have a major network migration project in the meantime to keep me distracted!

Just checked, it did give me "Login unsuccessful" 3 times in a row, but then let me log in eventually.

Has anyone received the link to online assessments yet?

If you think your late at 28... I wouldn't like to think how that places me at 39 🤔

28 is not late. Aer lingus prefer their cadet pilots in their 20's and greater. Very rarely have they took someone <21/22.

I believe most people will get the link for the online assessment, unless you don’t meet the eligibility criteria. Emails should be sent out fairly soon as well. At least, this was the case in previous years.

From previous experience, do you know the lead time between the link reception and D day assessment ?
Cheers,
Thomas

Hi Guys, I have applied for it myself. Just in the middle of doing my PPL and I think I will get an online test :-D

Your application for this vacancy was sent on 09/05/2018 and currently has a status of Invite to pre selection online test.

I logged in and checked my application status today and it currently says 'Invite to pre selection online test'. I haven't gotten any email yet so I panicked and emailed the recruitment team (I hope they don't think I'm a pest now!).

They responded and said
Hi Sarah,

Details will be sent onto you in due course.

Rgds
