How are people generally finding recruitment at the moment? Some seem to be reporting it's slowing down - are there many out there still not even getting interviews?

I have not seen signs of recruitment that is slowing down. actually quite the opposite. It is march now though, so quite a few airlines stopping recruitment for the summer season.
