Hi so from memory cognitive was a long list of challenges broken in multiple parts of about 5 or 6 questions each they include memory either remembering auditory given code, visual memory of shapes colours or numbers, map like / direction challenges, two planes on a radar the question being where will they collide, then you get the dreaded visual reasoning where you will have to identify the shape that is odd one out or matches the group, number sequences although some I had appeared to have no number pattern but the edges where all a bit different so be perceptive cant really do a lot to prepare for these I would highly recommend getting very good with Speed distance time problems + fuel burn, some pythagoras and trigonometry is also needed as these are higher scoring questions.

subscribe to latestpilotjobs.com so you can practice some of the areas like ball game(get joystick) and the fast tests and flight sim its not all the same its much tougher in real life but it’ll help, the physics and maths aren’t great but maths will help to make you sharper with mental arithmetic if your not already and the physics might help but there isn’t really enough variety. Best of luck

Hi guys I did my 2 stage one week ago but for sure I didn’t pass...
anyway here there are some notes that I wrote after finished it that may help you.Progressive MATH

-Speed distance time (easy)

-speed distance time + Fuel usage

-REFU + space distance

-headings Calculation

-1mile=1 .6 km

-1kg=2,2ibs

(You must know and be really fast with s=d/t)

You have 30 min and 20 questions

Progressive PHYSICS

-acceleration (easy)

-electric circuits (very easy) overall resistance

-levers all tipe (one problem)

-Bernoulli ( one question)

-Universe (eclissi)

-Definition of velocity (one question)

-gas law (one problem)

-magnetism (one question, unlike doesn’t attract..really easy)

-P1/t1 = p2/t2

-Ohm laws

You’ve 30 min and 20 questions

COGNITIVE

Maths

-percentage all type

-conversion (PSI to ATM)

-speed,distance and time

-equation with X (simple)

Then you will find other 25 questions

about cognitive topics

You have 30 min and 30 question but I’m not really sure...

FAST

6 personality test at the biginnig

The fast is done 2 times and is always the same route

Was hard understanding the name of way point and also is difficult to see it into the ground (low graphic)

Percentage 15% of 600 ... crazy

Cube (one question)

Cube rotate with x (one question)

3+(4 x 8 )

Remember the sequence (2 times)

Complete the sequence (low numbers)

At the end 12 question with 12 second for each

-Name of waypoint ?

-How many bip did you hear ?

-How many aircrafts did you see?

-Where the helicopter was located ? (Remember and find the Helicopter in a map,4 opinions)

BALL GAME

Really difficult

Twisted the joystick to move the ball left and right

FLIGHT SIMULATOR

Was difficult maintain the altitude and speed (the same for all the time)

Fly 4 waypoints

I wasn’t able to find the 4 waypoint.

Follow a route to Nord Est with 4 waypoints and the third is an airport

Maintain 200 kts 2000ft all the mission

Red Ball Test Controls?

Anyone know what the controls are? I've been practicing with the twist axis reversed so when i twist left the ball goes right etc
Additionally pushing the stick forward made the ball move down. But does anyone know for sure? It would be of great help!

You can’t use the calculator, just paper.
they will give you a formula sheet with maths and electronic formulas,by the way I didn’t find all the formula that I needed. I remember that the last physic’s problem was about Gas (temperature and pressure) but there weren’t formulas about that topic.

Hi everyone, I recently sat the assessment, I found the fixed wing part most difficult. How did you work out the heading controls, as I couldn’t get my head around this ?

Hii everybody,

Inhave a question about the ball test. Currently I’m training on latestpilotjob with a joystick and for the red ball test to turn left/rigt we must use the Z axe and not turn the joystick to the left/right normally. During the CAE test it will be the same ? We must turn with the Z axe ?

thank you.
