Results are out usually after 2-3 weeks.
No calculators are allowed in the maths or physics tests. They did allow it at the start of the year however they changed the rules back in April this year (confirmed by someone who works at CAE at PCL)
Good luck!

Do you know if they still provide the maths and physics formulas?

Hello,

Is it realistic this type of questions "A plane flies 1970 miles from point A to point B, at an average speed of 460mph. The fuel rate is 30 lbs/min. In Kg how much fuel is used during the flight?" because in my opinion, this one is quite difficult to solve without a calculator.

Yeah most of them are provided for you. The ones that aren't are from GCSE Physics, and not too hard to remember.

Yeah this sort of question is asked, however with easier numbers. E.g aircraft flies 900 miles at 300 mph. Fuel 30lbs/min.

Can just work it out as 3 hours = 180 mins. 180*30 = (can do it 18x3 = 54 * 100 = 5400) and given that roughly 1lb = 0.5kg, 5400/2 = 2700Kg.

These types of question are all multiple choice, so even doing some rounding in the calculation will point to the correct answer. As I remember, the wrong answers were fairly obvious...

Can anyone elaborate on what to expect in the cognitive part of the assessment? Do they test maths and physics again in this as well?

Thank you so much for the answer LenceHudson.

How many questions will involve calculation about Fuel, Distance, Speed or Time?

Is It true that in physics test formulae are provided?

Are there questions with basic math as percentage, equations, division or multiplications?

I just did my stage 2. I can say that the vast majority of the maths questions were S-D-T, so make sure you brush up on them.

Physics and maths formulas are provided.

I didn't get any questions as basic as that, but they did involve multiplication and division to work out. I didn't get any on percentages.

I will warn you that the FAST test is difficult, so make sure you give your full focus and attention when doing that.

Good luck!

Hello LeoBruce,

What software did you use for the preparation?

Good old BBC Bitesize for maths and physics!

I also used SkyTest for the FAST, but I will say that the CAE FAST is much more difficult than the SkyTest one.

Is there only Fast in SkyTest? C'mon It costs 80 euro!

Where did you train for Co-ordination and Control, Cognitive and Fixed Wing?

Do you know the results of the assessment?

Can you confirm whether calculators where allowed or were the S-D-T questions doable without one?

Did you wear a suit for the assessment? Hearing we should, can you confirm.

S-D-T questions were very much doable without calculator. Just make sure you know how to multiply and divide efficiently.

Yes, business attire is recommended. We all wore suits.

Awesome thanks, will put greater emphasis on s-d-t stuff Ive been working on a bit of everything for some time...with no calculator I take it no trigonometry?

how long before you get put out of your misery of whether you’ve passed or not, any ideas.

p.s did plan on wearing a suit but didn’t want to look a over dressed wally

No worries!

I'm not too sure, they said a week maximum, but usually can be the next day. Today is the next day... and i've been checking my emails constantly! Still nothing yet!

Best of luck!
