Just changed my IAA medical to a CAA one and it took at least 5 weeks if not more and cost £75. Be prepared to wait. However L3 didn't mind and said I could just forward it on once I got it

Does anyone have any recommendations for pre-course reading?

I have six months until I start with L3 and have been given access to my Padpilot ATPL iBooks. Do any current or previous cadets have any recommendations on particularly hard topics/ concepts that would be beneficial getting my head around before starting.

Thanks. I'll probably just fly across and get a CAA medical to save any hassle.

Did you ask your Irish AME to sign off on the transfer? Or did you just send a copy of all the information they need with the form filled out to the CAA?

I believe there are only a couple of AEMCs that are certified to do initials. Check the UK CAA for AEMCs that are.

I know theres one in Gatwick.

Do you know if at this programme, are foreigners really welcome at assessments? I mean, Brexit is quite near now. Do they rather choose UK nationals? Or at least, make it easier for them?

Absolutely. I had a French man attend Stage 2 and a Spanish man at Stage 3. Once you have fluent English it doesn’t matter. EasyJet have far more bases than just the UK, so don’t let that put you off it. EasyJet I have heard are very sensitive to the topic of equal opportunities as an employer so you have as much chance as a UK person if you are good enough

If you have the right to work/live in the EU, then that is fine.

If you show the right competency and will, then nationality shouldn't be a problem.

While I cannot comment on the potential impact of Brexit, I believe you should apply as long as you fit the above criteria (inc. the other criteria on L3/CAE easyJet web-page.)

Cut-e are done prior to your day 2 assessment. You'll get an email with instructions. Contrary to my previous post its just the personality test section (I had misinterpreted some info which applied to white tail candidates who I believe have to do the other parts of the cut-e)
