Easy Jet CTC
Hi all,
Private pilot here.
I have a good job that pays well at the minute. I'm considering going into the airline industry but am unsure, I love all things aviation but wage is a big thing for me. I applied for easy jets ctc program and they have invited me to an assesment centre.
Question : is it good that they've invited me, or do they invite most applicants?
Is it easy jet that have said they want me to come or ctc?
Has anyone else applied and got to this stage?
What can I expect?
Thy want £300 just for me to go to the assesment, I've never paid for a job interview before. Seems ridiculous.

Paying to go to the assessment is to get rid the people who go into the aviation industry just for money (like you) and the really passionate people (like alot of the people on this forum).
At the end of the day if you want to become a pilot because of a passion you have then you'll get through it easily (depending on your preparation obviously). If you just want the job thinking you'll get lots of money then you'll fail: you'll either get kicked out at interview stage, drop out of training or leave the industry in a few years because of boredom.
Thats my 2 cents.

You can be as passionate as you want, if the job doesn't pay the bills for a lifestyle that you can lead with your current career, that is a thing to think hard about.
I can offer no answers for the questions, but I have always thought it is absolutely ridiculous to charge an applicant money for an interview. You either want them or not. But the supply of idiots/hopefuls is big enough that they can get away with it I guess.

To answer a few of your questions:
1 - If you meet the education requirements and write reasonably good essay questions, CTC will invite you. It certainly isn't anything special if that's what you're asking.
2 - CTC have invited you. EasyJet don't see your application until interview stage where they have the final say. The first stages are filtering out those who they think will be of interest to easyjet.
3 - You can expect a basic maths test (currencg conversion, calculations with fractions and decimals and basic algebra). Then an aptitude test with flight directors etc. If you have a PPL this really shouldn't be of any challenge.
Best of luck
