Hello everyone, did anyone attend the open day at BAA about the Wizz Cadet Program?
On their website BAA doesn't give any information about costs, does anyone have any idea of the total costs including TR?

BUT you have a job afterwords. That is the difference with normal Integrated programs + the MIN Requirements of Wizz nowadays is F ATPL MCC JOC and 300 hrs ACTUAL Flying time. Something you wont have after your Modular or Integrated training usually.
So If I had the chance to jump in back then when I did my training in BAA, then I would have been glad to do that program.

Hello guys,
I came across this offer and I am seriously considering it. I am 31 y/o, but have been bitten by the aviation bug since my childhood. Currently I work in asset management and I like my career, but still feel the urge...dream is a dream.
Is this a normal scheme? What is the TR (type rating)? I am planning to have a Skype call with the BAA Academy rep this Friday or Monday. I need to know the costs and benefits before I commit (albeit the urge is very strong).
Thanks for your help! I will keep you posted.

Hi Andrej, it seems to me that the TR is not included. In that case I don't understand how Wizz can offer a position without a TR.
Please let us know your impressions after the call with the BAA rep and if you go through the assessment!

So Global, do you know BAA? And quality of training? Answer is most probably NO.
Almost all graduates of last 2 years have a job as FO somewhere , flying B737 B757 A320 Dash 8 Q400 , Biz Jet. If they were so bad then those guys would not have a job he?
Not everything from Eastern Europe is bad.

Hello guys,
Pilot43, I exactly confirm what says Scagrams as I made the assessment too, for now it is opened for eastern country only. So yeah it's not write on their web site, because initially WizzAir planned to take anyone.
In my case I succeeded the assessment with BAA, and they told me that they're a little embarrassed with the WizzAir's new directive, but for now they have to deal with that.
However, I don't think WizzAir could find only eastern pilots by February, so maybe that people like me who succeed assessment may (I said MAY) be call by February.
Therefore BAA can't confirm this, they absolutely don't know what will happen, they are still waiting for information from WizzAir at this time.

And regarding the selection process itself, you are given a lot of details should you decide to apply. A quick summary:
1) Profile XT
2) English test
3) Compass test
4) BAA interview
If you succeed this far, there is one last step:
5) Wizzair HR interview

Everything is unclear at the moment. But usually Wizzair pays for the TR, and then bonds you for a certain amount of time, where you have to reimburse it via a % of your salary
(the figures I have are 15 months with -1000 euros/month on your salary)

Ok finally things are moving a bit, just received an email saying that I have my interview with WizzAir. I guess this mean they accept pilot from west now.
