So, does that mean I need to have a European citizenship? If not, then I am pretty confident that I should be able to get Visa because neither me nor anyone in my family background has any kind of criminal record.

Unless you are married to someone from an EU country, reuniting with family or sponsored by the employer (Wizz would most definitely not do that), I don't see how you would get the Unrestricted right to live and work in the European Union. This is not BAA's requirement and has nothing to do with unnecessary bureaucracy - it's a Wizz Air requirement.

Alternatively you could look into the Small Planet Airlines cadet program which I believe employs non EU pilots. As advised before, the best thing would be to get in touch with the school.

Wizz has bases in non-EU countries and they employ pilots from those countries so this is not true. Just contact the academy, I don't understand why you guys just don't call or email them, it is really that simple. Unless, when you say EU, you mean Europe and not European Union.

you don’t need to contact them as it’s clearly written in their website under the minimum requirements: you should have the right to live and work in EU to apply for this program. Furthermore Wizz air is not recruiting non-EU pilots regardless having a base outside EU or not.

You have to understand the difference between getting European Visa for a different reasons like studying or as a tourist and having the right to live and work their permanently. It is totally different story.

Again, it depends when you say EU do you mean Europe in general or European Union because Wizz Air does have pilots from countries which are in Europe but not in the European Union. That is what I was trying to say.

That is correct, Wizz Air do employ pilots from non-EU countries, in fact some of my Ukrainian course-mates who were not tagged to any airline prior to starting the course have gone through the Wizz assessments this week. Another friend of mine on the course is from the Middle East but married to a EU citizen - that works too.

However, I simply don't see how an Indian citizen would acquire the Unrestricted right to live and work in the European Union without any 'connection' to this place.

And yes, this requirement is listed on BAA's website: https://baaflightschool.com/pilot-ca...det-programme/

No harm in contacting the school of course, they might suggest other possible options.

It’s not about your nationality. It’s all about your rights to live and work in EU. if they require EU citizens only they will say like many airlines you should have EU passport.

I used the example of an Indian citizen since xmaster is Indian but of course the same would be applicable to other countries too... In any case, the best thing to do is to contact the school and find out what's possible and what's not.

Hi guys, I've been selected to take the BAA Training academy with Wizz Air. For reassurance, is the 'Latestpilotjobs.com' COMPASS test helpful enough? Especially on the physics and maths?
Throughout the forum a lot of interesting details were shared but not much on the compass test of maths and physics.

Thank in advance for the help and see you on the other side!

Yes, it's absolutely fine. Skytest Middle East is also very good to prepare for the assessments.

Ukrainian cadets

Constant92;

Could you tell me if there are Ukrainian pilots who are based anywhere other than the EU? Or are they all based in Ukraine?

Thank you

Recentlly I have noticed that BAA has disappeared from Wizzair's site, section Career / Pilots / Cadet programs. Now that section contains only "Wizz Air Pilot Academy" and "L3 CTS" listed.
Anyone know resons behind this? Does BAA still run Wizz cadet programme or has it been suspended/ceased?

On hold, I dont know if it's for indefinite/specific period, better ask BAA about it.

The reason might be either because so many complaints coming from the students towards BAA, and/or the poor performance of the graduates when join the company.
