This is from AMS....go have a chat with him and stop being selective. The organisation was called a lot of things, so you can drop your vendetta mate, I am not a troll or a hater, speaking from what I've experienced.
They are aware of where some other's and I stand. Some people already received a response, I know of two others who dropped out and accepted other flying offers as they simply couldn't be in limbo. We agreed on it and it is common courtesy now, I won't go into specific details but it is not much to ask.
You obviously love Aer Lingus, you should feel hurt that some candidates tried to pull a fast one and gain advantage over you in this competition. You should be annoyed that some got the job, instead you are annoyed at a guy who comes across passive aggressive/assertive online? what a waste of time.
You talked passionately about them and obviously would make of them a career airline, yet instead of looking at you for who you are, that passion and determination, some other guy who got it all handed in a platter will take the job. Am I really the source of your frustration? I was banging the drum for fairness, which you could have benefitted from. Then they said they would treat us as individuals and be mindful of our circumstances, I didn't ask them tho. Food for thought...
I met a guy few years ago who was hired and then EL decided to hire contractors, he had already handed his notice. How do you think that felt? He was also Irish, not a rats a** given to your patriotism. I know I sound harsh/blunt, it's my latin streak.
But hey, I don't care anymore, I am just curious how this is going to end. And if you do get called for the sim, I will break my own rules(and theirs) and give you the sim details so you can prepare, no problem.

you got that right, I do care for this airline and for this very reason, I want them to hire best people regardless of the colour of their passport, skin or eyes.. I have no problem to lose out to foreigners who are better than me.

Still not March yet....
Still pilots doing Sim checks...
I've few friends holding out too..
They can only assess all once Sims are complete.
That's a lot of paperwork.

Sir this behaviour is not normal, and certainly not what I'd expect from a pilot. You are honestly waging an online war against a company because they haven't replied to you within a week of your assessment? Am I reading this correctly or what?
I applied to their cadetship the last couple of years and went to the final stages each time but unfortunately no further, for each stage up until that stage they took 3 weeks to a month to get back to me. They look at each profile and give it the respect it deserves, or would you rather they base their selection on some stupid irrelevant criteria to weed out the masses just for the sake of reducing numbers fast? You would be the first to complain too if they did that from what I can see.
Your writings show you to be mentally unstable, aggressive, extremely defensive, paranoid, volatile and prone to eruption at any moment. I can assure you these are not qualities Aer Lingus are looking for. If you do genuinely have a family to look after then this makes matters worse, you should really know better.
It's like the writings of a madman.
Take a break, step away from the computer.
And for your own sake, if Rome really is your location I'd change it pretty fast, because they will figure out who you are pretty quickly, if they haven't already.

EI HR has it quirks but like most HR departments it can generally spot oddballs. No Captain wants to come to work and have an ego trying to show off his greatness instead of backing him or her up. Think about that.

Some of you here need a serious reality check. No company ever asks you to attend an interview... it is your choice. Some low cost carriers even charge you for the privilege of being interviewed.
Alot of rubbish is being written here about the company by unsuccessful candidates who it is clear have NOT done their homework about the company prior to applying and now feel they have an axe to grind.
Aer Lingus has been around for many many years and their training dept and operations are second to none. The wages get increasingly better as you progress your career and the pension is one of the best in the industry. So although a few of you here feel like you have to bash the company just because you were not successful I would take a serious look at yourself!

But the other company you are talking about, is telling the people they are testing if they are in or out 1 week after. If I'm not wrong, that was what the discussion about, main purpose.
Sorry for that, but I think there is some 40 years old people here who pay study to there children of your age. Please, let them face this with there own experience, instead of trying something while daddy pay for you.
I'm certainly in rageous here, yes I am . Because I am paying the studies of my 2 children... and I hope they are not getting speech like yours on a forum...
Now that I know the ego and self esteem of you, I will not enjoy getting to Aer Lingus cockpit. I hope experience and wisdom will help you to be less agressive.

@CLIJI . I'm sorry to disappoint your little tantrum however I am far from my 20s and also have alot of expenses. I have previously worked at a low cost airline prior to my present company and have also worked my entire life including all through my flight training to get to where I am today.
We all understand what we were getting ourselves into when we started out on this career path , and if you did not.... well you didn't look hard enough before jumping in.
I repeat ... nobody asked you to attend any interview. And also the company to which you are referring who give you an answer in a week is down to the fact you have payed them for that privilege , the amount of money they earn alone from interviewing candidates is outrageous.
Your irrational personality online here alone suggests you have no place in a cockpit.

I think they are assessing scores for recalls this week.. before overall offers and rejections in March.

Any airline that invites you to an assessment and you make the effort at your own cost to go there and do their assessment as THEY NEED you and YOU NEED THEM - the key part is that they should respect those that make the effort to attend - its about being professional.
It is an opportunity for you to evaluate them and they evaluate you for fit. This industry has lots of supply for when there is demand so they are ABLE to treat you like Kak. When that airline treats you well and values you increases its own ability to differentiate against others that treat their employees or people like crap.
Run a fair process, keep people communicated to and plan this process - which can be a massive undertaking...and we do not understand fully their workload and ability....... but still you are empowered to do a good job and not a substandard one.
So there is a risk for them that some will accept if given the job and could accept another role with better conditions then them - so wasted time for them. But overall they all know the market and know their offer is a good one.
Sadly its their train and their process - if you want to wait for them fine other wise move on and don’t apply.
For me it is important for any organisation to run a process which is fair, transparent and on an even playing field. As it speaks volumes about you.
Frankly aviation is which has always treated its pilots like crap and will continue to do so - purely due to demand and supply
Those that slate Aer Lingus are only frustrated and will be singing their songs once accepted as people can be fickle...
Don’t put your eggs in one basket....
It’s just another company - who also needs you.. have more respect for yourselves.

We just got an update in here and I know a guy who knows the score in training.
Apparently they said next info would be no later than late March for normal contact at every opening session and most goodbyes.
Apparently St Patrick's day Weekend is the target - if you don't know why that weekend is significant ... maybe you should!

@Dips, no that’s not correct. Any start dates in April are from the last competition. Start dates for this competition will be in June. Information from Mask14 is accurate re:offers.
