"If successful throughout the training at FTEJerez, and 1st Officer positions available, no further selection will be required by Flybe and you will flow straight into a Q400 type rating course as a part of the MPL training."
Sounds ever so slightly dodgy to me. It's almost like they're not sure if they'll actually be able to hire you at the end of the MPL.
I'd want that clarified before committing, but a good opportunity never the less.

Flybe do not want to make any commitment to you until they are sure you are of a reasonable standard, character and they have a job available for you, much like any business in any sector these days. It sucks, but thats the way it is. No company wants to go back to the days when they couldn't get rid of anyone who isn't needed/unfit for the job because of the severe retribution threatened by unions.
IMHO, this is why I suggest avoiding integrated schemes outside of fully or part sponsored schemes!

Applied and got the essays to crack on with. Does anyone know whether you can use previous answers/similar from past applications? My greatest achievement, for example, hasn't changed.

I don't understand, what is the benefit of this when you have to fully fund the training yourself?
Why not just go to the flight school and apply on your own?

If successful you will have to fund FTE’s MPL programme.
The price for this course is GBP £89,100.

Also, while still not 100% guaranteed, it's a more secure way to be sure you'll have a job at the end.
Applying to a school as good as FTE directly is still a good way to go though!

Also, the Airline First Officer Programme at FTE will result in you gaining an fATPL, not an MPL.
