Aye there was, after the personality tests there was another interview with a psychologist and then if successful there it was on to a medical. Always next year!

Anything new here ? I still didn't received anything after the personality test. I guess they would let me know if i'm successful our not.

@Flyveryhigh: does it mean I didn't go through ? Do they send negative mails ?

I'd be really interested to hear if anyone is currently on the course and what it entails? And also if anyone has any knowledge about a potential 2018 programme as well

Any whisperings of this scheme coming back soon? It was open about this time last year....

I emailed and asked (though this was around a month ago) and they didn't let on of any 2018 scheme as yet... she said the best thing to do was register for job alerts on their website.

They will never announce it to anyone privately, everyone will hear together.

Regarding whether or not it will reopen though, you can bet your bottom dollar it will. Aer Lingus take their 'cadets' and the cadet programme very seriously and it's somewhat ingrained in the company's history, they won't be letting go of it anytime soon.

From what I'm hearing it isn't looking very hopeful for this year.... sincerely hope I'm wrong though!

I hope so too Mark!

It'd be a shame if it didn't come back, the previous scheme was the best opportunity out there for cadet pilots by some distance.

Then again, the course has previosuly begun in Jan/Feb at FTE so there's plenty of time yet.

If it's any use - FTE have posted on their Facebook page outlining that an airline scheme will be announced this Monday 31st July.

They have posted it with an orange background and comments below have asked whether it was Easyjet, to which they replied 'we're using a nearly unrelated background colour or else it's too easy!'

Here's hoping it's EI..

I'd have thought if it *was* easyJet, FTE wouldn't have replied to the comment. However we're probably just clutching at straws until Monday.

El ran their own recruitment last year so I imagine they will do the same again.

I think the FTE scheme will be Thomas Cook.

Whoever it is, let's hope it's an airline funded one, preferably up front by the airline though an FPP/VS style loan guarantee would be better than nothing.

Wouldn't be surprised, IAG would have to forfeit Alex Cruz bonus if they were to run any more cadetships.
