Haha I doubt it's the latter! Maybe it's a group presentation or something presenting to the panel and dealing with changes from the panel.

Yeah you'll get an email today or tomorrow when Julie comes back :-). As a heads up, request your Basic Disclosure online as quick as you can as it takes up to 2 weeks to arrive, although you can also present an application reference number if it doesn't come in time. Head to your opticians and pick up an 'Ishihara-style vision certificate' to prove you're not colour blind. Oh and grab some passport photos. What's your name btw?

About this ishihara certificate, do you guys know if a certificate from my ophthalmologist written,that everything is alright added to some infos about my vision will be ok?
I got one but it's written in French (you know how good we are when it comes to languages 😥
and it has obviously not the same format as you described

What about getting a class I medical? with this you ensure you are fit ...
I've just booked an isahira (whatever it's called) test in specsavers for 7pm this evening, 15 euro ... they also want me to get passport photos, apparently they have some form where they put your picture on it and they sign.

Yes but something you will need for sure in the future! so why not have it done now, and then be sure that if all effort and time is worthy.. and I said that because I got some issues when get mine loong time ago... so best option is to get it right away.

Go to specsavers, get a free eye test (vouchers online! - I can only speak for UK) and get the optician to do the colour test whilst there. They can write it out on a little slip, sign and stamp. That is sufficient.
Don't fork out for the Class 1 med just yet, Aer Lingus usually fund it if you get that far.
Regarding background checks, just do an online Basic Disclosure Scotland, £25. Reference/proof of application is sufficient.

I already have my class 1 actually. I have to renew it but it is really nothing. If Aer Lingus really need to know I am alright I can prove them, but I just wanted to have no problem next by presenting them the "home-made" certificate I will stay sticked to that and like you Flyveryhigh, I believe that is going to be alright.

Can anyone here trying to get a disclosure from England please explain what must be done? I lived there for a year a few years back.
All I can read online is that either your employer must apply for it on your behalf, or that you have to go to your local police station to obtain one. I live in Dublin so I cannot go to a police station, and obviously Aer Lingus aren't applying on our behalves.
Can anyone please advise?
