Did it really drop by that much in previous years? Seems excessive just based on an essay

Essentially, considering previous years went from 3,000 to 150 applicants based on 4 essays alone, it wouldn't make logical sense that a far more detailed examination would actually leave them with 500 after the first stage. Unless somebody knows something the rest don't.
I suppose it does make sense that there wouldn't be more people going through this year as opposed to last year, given that it's been a more detailed examination.

However is this 150 number based on someones guess and now been taken as gospel or has it just been worked out based on previous group assessment days? i.e The amount of people per group multiplied by the number of groups assessed?

Also wondering did we all get the same questions or was it random in case people leaked them. I assume we're safe enough to discuss the questions as everyone should be complete by now

There were around 160 people at the group assessment last year in Shamrock house. A good/reliable source tells me that 80 is the number this year for 12 spaces.

There's no point worrying about it, your fate is already sealed for the next stage, and if you make it there, they'll more than likely divulge the kind of numbers involved in each stage

For the past 2 years at least the first stage of assessments has left around 150 people in it.

I am interested to know as well.
Especially for those who do not live in Europe, and/or have personal/professional commitments..

Back in 2013's recruitment process I was emailed 7 days before my group stage assessments. It could be different this year they seem a bit more organised than previous years.

Hi all,

Best of luck to those who have applied. Anybody recall the interview dates?

Thanks!

And so begins the agonizing pain that is waiting and praying that we don't receive that same e-mail.

Its funny how we desperately want to get a reply back from the company but at the same time desperately don't want one at the same time!

I'm just a bit skeptical ... it was the poster's friend to begin with, and as well as that nobody else has received a thing, previously numerous claimed to have received emails after the first rumour was out that someone received one. I could be wrong though ... a part of me hopes they're starting to send them out and a part of me hopes they're not haha

Have to say i agree with Momo, there would surely be a number of people posting at this stage about it if there was rejections sent out

Come on momo!
The earlier the better no?
At least, if we don't make it to the next round, we can move on quicker :-)

The sooner we find out the better. If we get through we'll have more time to prepare, and if we don't we can get some closure.
