In the first part of the app, you are given the chance to adjust your webcam and microphone settings. You can easily see there if it's possible to use your iPad camera and mic. Theoretically there shouldn't be any issue. Good luck.

hi guys question if anyone could answer. Can the link on the email be followed, see how it works and look at the practice question, but do the actual video questions another time? Just want to see the layout etc

Yes you can follow the link and leave the practice question and come back.

Is it just me or is anyone else finding it very difficult to engage? Thoughts come naturally when engaged with a person but it feels very different practically talking to nothing :/

What kinds of questions do you think are going to come up? I would assume the behavioural/situational (what would you do if blah blah happened etc) questions will be in the september interviews...

I've been practising basic questions really (why you want to be a pilot, strengths/weaknesses etc).

Feeling a bit underprepared if i'm honest. I'll be happy if I manage to keep talking without any weird/arkward pauses. That would be terrible.

You're not alone mate. Just did a couple of hours and returning to it tomorrow. You should also want to be concious of not sounding like a robot so don't over do prep, I learnt that the hard way before!

I'm finding it so tricky to prepare for this. I'm preparing for the basic stuff like my motivations and skills, and knowledge of Aer Lingus.

I'm not sure if the best approach is having a few prompts to hand or having something closer to a script to read. I feel the first approach would risk me waffling and not getting my point across. The second would be robotic and unnatural. The whole concept is strange and unengaging when you're talking to a webcam and not a person.

Such anxiety!

I've done it now, my advice would be to pretend it's a real interview and prepare for it accordingly.

Is there an option to stop the recording once you've finished your answer? Or do you have to sit there awkwardly until your time is up?

Just finished it there. I made a poor attempt of it in my opinion. I'll be surprised if I get any further. I had notes beside me yes, only looked at them incase I was really struggling to say something. So happy its over now though. The relief is astounding.

Don't get down Wolf Dao, I don't think many will be too happy with how they did. I certainly am not and it's killing me. 'Tis life though ...

Don't feel too confident myself, forgot to make key points and some of the questions were not what I expected

Same here!
I tried to keep a very positive attitude through my answers, but I feel like what I said was plain boring :-)
Anyways, it's done, now the wait begins (again).

For anyone that's done it were the questions what you roughly expected?
