I'd imagine incorrect and missed answers would deduct points, no idea though.

Definitely my worst as well! The verbal reasoning was tough also but I felt everything else was pretty manageable. Time will tell I suppose, Good luck to all!

Hi guys,

I found the Assessments Not to bad. Verbal Reasoning I found tough to complete.

FlyVeryHigh, they'll have an average result for each test. The more right answers the better of course. I'd presume that every candidate will have strengths in particular tests than others, so they do take this into consideration. Although, they mainly look to see improvement, e.g. if you didn't perform great in one test but did better in another.

Hello guys! Does anyone know why they sent me a link for online assessment altough I mentioned in my CV that I will obtain CPL licence with ATPL theory in September?

I completed mine this morning. Not too bad I didn't think, some of it was a bit tough, particularly the flying tube thing, where I crashed quite a few times lol but other bits were pretty straightforward. Has anyone got any idea when we're likely to hear anything re pass to next stages or fail?
Cheers

@tufa1993, probably because nobody checked the CV's. It's easier and less labor for them to wait for the results at the online assessments, as there will be less CV's to read. And maybe the only rejected candidates before the online assessment were those who ticked the I have the atpl on the portal. I suppose you didn't, as you are still under training.

The Flying through the tunnel assessment - I managed to not crash once but i maintained my speed at something along the lines of 68 to that i had full control. Anyone think this was wrong and i should of went full whack at full speed and made a few crashes?

With regards the online personality test, the one with the slider. Can someone tell me the situation tied with it? Was it just how you compare to others on a general basis or was it meant to be how you act at work? I don't think I read the instructions properly...

Did anyone else find that the gyrocompass spatial reasoning test was their worst? I found it rather confusing!

Also, is there any word on a timescale for hearing back?

We'll most likely hear back next week I think, so that they have time to review every application, sort these out and maybe check again the CVs of potential elected candidates for the next phase. Might even be longer. If I am correct, there is one more online test after this one before the day in Dublin, right? If they are to advise people going to Dublin 1 month prior to the assessment (26-30 September), it means that there is still an entire month plus 10 days to get an answer from the 2nd online assessment...

Where did you hear this? The FAQ on the application page only makes mention of one set of tests. Then, shortlisted candidates will be invited to the group assessment stage which will be held in Dublin between Monday 26th September 2016 and Friday 30th September 2016.

Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the start of August before we hear back. I reckon they only looked at results today. But who knows

The information on their site is a bit conflicting. Indeed on the FAQ it says that shortlisted candidates will be invited directly to Dublin. However, if you take a look here ( cadet-pilots - Aer Lingus Careers ), scroll to the bottom, you will see Successful candidates at this point will receive another link for the next online assessment via e-mail.
But indeed, I assume that the FAQ info is updated, but who knows. Best of luck to all !

I am not sure indeed. I thought I read this when I applied, however I might be wrong. Anyway there is no rush!
