I would be very surprised if it wasn't in the contract. CTC may be very good marketers, however they will not leave themselves open to such attack, top lawyers would most definitely be involved in any contract they write up.

True...on the topic of the program itself, CTC/Qatar has kept the program apps open for quite a while now, i wonder why this is. Maybe a large intake coming up? I like many, are waiting for selection, question is when???

Last i heard, they were conducting final interviews with the successfull prospects from June ish selection. They're may be a chance of selection before 2017 but doubt it. With QR's new order, and hearing rumours they need heavy fleet pilots, i think you will see more selection dates soon! Give them a call to see where you stand, either way they will get to your application when they need you next, looking like 2017...

From joining as a cadet on the A320... how long will it take you to be upgraded onto the wide-bodies (flying the 777 etc)

Update from CTC: next selection dates will be mid-2017.

Not an easy answer...I believe the day you are hired at QR you are put on a seniority list as like many other airlines however IMO for cadets, after you reach 1500, convert your MPL to an ATPL, your experience will be worth more from that point on. With the training being 2 years, lets say another 2 years to reach 1500, and then another 3-4 to reach 5000+ with QR...you're looking like 7-8 years total, maybe more. You gotta also consider that their is an extensive process for upgrades, not all FO's will become Captains. You also have to consider operational requirements, everything from gaining a320 PIC hours (if you make it to Captain on a320), to foregoing that for widebody FO hours (if they need them at that time). Its a personal choice, mixed with the needs of the business....

Best to call and ask..looking like mid-2017 so few more months, but you have to take into consideration passing the selection, going for final interview, and the the actually start date.... which would sometime in 2018....

It seems like they are active again for people who had already applied last year. I received an email yesterday saying I was successful at Stage 1.

Took a while to get a response as I applied back in September last year.

I've already call and ask them million times, but they don't have idea when, because it's up to the airline.

These things take time and I wouldn't keep calling them, it'll take as long as it takes. I applied for a job (working on the railway) in December '15, I had in interview in September '16 and a start date next month. I didn't phone up and ask for timescales at all, I knew that the process took time and that at some point I'd get an interview. If anything, the railway recruitment world is slower than the aviation equivalent.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for any other programmes for which you're entitled to apply, the recruitment processes may be slow but aviation can move pretty fast.

Edited for clarity.

I worked for qatar airways as one of recruitment division.
This is my new account, i forget my password of my previous account, so i made a new one.

As this is the first thread i see in this forums, so i wanna give you some important information

If anyone here have a thought to join Qatar MPL scheme at CTC this years, i wish you're not getting your hopes too high. Because there are a tons of cadets which still on hold from the last few years. So i heard that we are not gonna open this course until late 2018 or early 2019.

But for an experienced pilots, you're welcome to apply for a job.

Qatar Airways MPL 2017

Qatar Airways partnered with L3 Airline Academy re-opened their MPL program last week. Should I be applying for it seeing that the employment as a Co-Pilot guaranteed on completion of training?

Assuming that my application has been successful, how difficult it is to pass the assessment (specially Stage 3 interview, since I am not a native English speaker)?
Any previous QR MPL cadet wants to share their Experiences about passing the assessment?
