VChap,
I was right about hearing back today, but sadly I dropped out at this stage. Absolutely gutted, I truly am. But I know of some people who made the cut and hope they go on to smash it at the final stages.
Waited 12 months to get through CTCs selection on a second attempt and truly gave it my all, I don't think there was much more I could have done to improve. It's just so competitive.
Good luck everyone else.

gbotley, thats unfortunate to hear! Don't give up. Take any advice/feedback you've been given, and come back for the next FFP iteration (or for the FPP later this year) bigger and better.
The aviation bug is impossible to drop. Stick with it, because with enough motivation and effort you'll get there.

It's bothers me to see someone as enthusiastic and motivated as you miss out here, gbotley! I know from your PM chats with me how much Virgin means to you. I know you said there isn't much you could do to improve, but it may have been the little things that made the difference this time! If I were you, I'd push for feedback from CTC and not give up until you get it- I did after the FPP last year and was successful in getting feedback.
I appreciate this isn't very comforting, so if you want to talk more about it, send me a pm .

I am sorry to hear that gbotley, its obvious how much passion you have for aviation but I am sure that you will find the right path for you very soon! My advice would be to reapply next year now you have made the standard it is clear you have the skills required of a Pilot so don't give up!
Cessnaflyer, I believe the wait is a max of around 2 weeks from Monday, they said on my selection day 2 - 3 weeks anyway so that would be the maximum I suppose, anyway Best of luck!

Just got the please try again next time. Pretty gutting but if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Just wondering if I'm getting too old for this as I will be 27 next year and applying to schemes like this since I was 21. Hope persistence and determination are seen as a good thing.
Congrats to the lucky few who have been successful.

I was successful and I know people in their 30s on the programme. I went to Airline Preparation for Pilot Jobs a year ago and cannot recommend them enough!

FlyANA, When did you get a response from CTC? I was told on the 14th March. It is however very reassuring that the ages that have been successful have been in late 20s and 30s. Well done on getting through!!!!

Speedbird148,
The first batch of cadets have just started at Virgin. They've completed the majority of the MPL now bar the a330 type specific training. Exciting times for that cohort.
The second lot are now in the US, the third in ground school and the 4th set to start ground school around the latter portion of this year.
As for blogs, there was one which has since dissappeared- it's surprising how little time you actually get to update them!- but a fair few are quite active on Instagram and Snapchat.
Best of luck to all applying this time should it re-open. I sadly didn't get Virgin but after a long battle with BBVA I am now on the Whitetail so one door closed the next opened.
Don't give up :-)
George.

Speedbird148,
No worries. The Virgin MPL cadet in questions' Instagram is @straight_up_steeze and his Snapchat is @thowmas. He chucks out some great content so if you want to see how they're doing now they're at the airline give him a follow :-)
Thanks for the blog comment too! :-)
