OfficerKite, you seem to have interpreted your experience terribly. At my Stage 3 assessment (at OAA), we were told it could go any way of 4, depending on if easyjet liked us or not, but still on route 4,you had a chance of easyjet! At that stage, I would have taken any route, my goal was get on the course and anything else was a bonus.
I waited two weeks (the exact time they said) and I received that congratulations email and then a phone call explaining which route (2).
It seems I might be the exception, as I've had plenty of info, and all my questions have been answered!
It's an expensive industry and nothing is going to be cheap! But once you're on the course, even 'whitetail' you have the opportunity whilst you're there to speak to the easyjet lot and if you get plus 90% average (easyjet candidates cannot get below 85%) in your exams, they'll probably consider you for an upgrade. Don't be bitter, I've failed in past and if you want it you try again.
Also my experience with CTC is way more money making, it's more expensive if you fail your aptitude tests (which are something dragged from the depths of hell) and they will take anyone. I have a friend, who put in a ridiculous application that no job would ever hire from and they're still emailing him to come for the aptitude tests. If that's not a money making scheme, I don't know what is. Bye bye £300!
Good luck and don't give up, and key thing to learn from this, don't mention anything risky that you do. We all want to do aerobatics in the a/c but don't bloody tell them that hahaaa...

I got an invite to stage 2 for the easyjet programme.

By the looks of things, I am essentially wasting my hard end cash even if I did pass all the stages??

Not if you get offered MPL.

Haven't read this for a while, amazes me they can grade people as risk-takers for skydiving etc. but expect the vast majority of successful candidates to take a huge risk in sticking a house on the line to fund the course. Surely to start on the course you've got to be the sort who doesn't mind making a serious punt in favour of your own ability, amongst other things, which is interesting.

In response to the latest posts, yes you could theoretically get the MPL if you applied, though based on what is being said on here, take any offer of employment with a pinch of salt unless you get a legal contract in writing.

Hey all, it's been a while since I've posted here but thought I'd drop by with a question.

2 days ago I received an email newsletter from CTC titled "Meet the easyJet recruitment team at our Careers Event" set to be on Saturday 29th April.......so you would think that means the easyJet scheme is likely to reopen again soon wouldn't you ?

I called CTC to ask and a girl told me that she didn't have any information on the scheme opening again.
The reason I'm so interested is because I applied last year and passed everything except the final interview (to which the sole CTC interviewer seemed to be in a rush to end the interview and go home; being the last one of the day).
The girl whom I spoke to on the phone told me that even if/when the scheme does open again, that she doesn't know if easyJet are even going to let/consider/take re-applicants....which is unsettling considered I was told that I could reapply after 6 months and pay the reduced fee, just do the final interview part again etc.

Anyone else in the same boat as me, waiting for the scheme to reopen?

They don't normally send emails letting you know of career days with 'guest airline speakers' unless that particular airline is opening a scheme through them soon.......do they ?

Maybe I am missing the bigger picture here, but what exactly are the benefits to not allowing someone to re-apply to the scheme?

@Jenna_Aviatrix

The open day may or may not be a sign of anything opening. There have been plenty of open days in the past which simply had the airline attend but meant nothing of their specific scheme. Where CTC mentioned they weren't sure if they'd take re-applicants at this time I got a similar story for the Virgin MPL when it came to applying a second time. It could well be that 'Generation easyJet' in its current form is relatively new compared to the former MPL only option and that the airline is yet to set any goal posts for its second run. - Who knows! Although, I can't imagine them not taking returning-applicants.

When I was offered the reduced cost of re-selection, it only applied to me re-sitting for the Whitetail scheme. As I wanted to re-apply to Virgin I needed to complete the entire thing again the second time around.

I wish you all the best in any future attempt you make :-)

New applicant to Generation Easy Jet at OAA

Hi guys, I am a new applicant to the generation easyjet programme. Does anyone actually have any positive feedback about their experience? It's really starting to put me off even going to the assessment if i'm going to be stringed along for six months then told I didn't get it? Are there any applicant that have been successful and accepted onto the actual programme?

Much appreciated!

So easyjet is back open for applications, but just as I feared the email says:
"RE-APPLICATIONS
Please be aware that initially, we will not be accepting re-applications to the CTC WINGS Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme.
We will also not be accepting applications from those who have applied unsuccessfully to other approved training providers of the Generation easyJet Pilot Training Programme.
Re-applicants may be eligible to apply to our CTC WINGS Integrated ATPL Airline Pilot Career Programme, which is open for applications all year round."

I do hope that when they say 'initially' they mean they WILL open it to reapplicants at some point

I had my positive feedback about 2 month after the last assessment stage and was offered to start within 2 month. So in my case it would have been 4 month from finishing the assessments and start of training.

But there is also a new thread for this year´s EZY programme ;-)

direct to first officer with frozen ATPL?

Hey folks,
after a general quick search and without sifting through every post over the past few years in PPruNe.... -> who here has made it to EasyJet through a private training scheme (i.e. not through one of their partners) to the right seat without having an ATPL but rather just a frozen?

Has it ever happened?

Thanks in advance.

I didn't see this written anywhere (whether I was blind to it as soon as the application window opened due to excitement) and I reapplied on the day it reopened for applications. I failed last year by 1 mark in the PILAPT but passed maths with 100% so I don't know whether it was because I was close to passing the first time round, but I received an email yesterday saying that I've passed stage 1 and I should now apply for stage 2 to retake PILAPT. So don't let this hold you back - still apply! You never know.

I have just been invited to stage 3 at OAA. Has anyone recently attended it and willing to share their experience? Please drop me a DM. Many thanks.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Having only recently attended my selection day 2 assessment (interview) with easyJet at Dibden Manor, I thought I would share my experience.

I was treated very well by both CTC and easyJet staff on the day, who were pleasant and a pleasure to talk to.

A day after the interview, CTC emailed me with confirmation that I met CTC standards for selection. That email also confirmed that easyJet would deliberate and confirm at a later date whether I met their standards for selection. The email provided fair warning that process may take up to 8 weeks. Approximately 3 weeks after the first email, CTC emailed me again to confirm that I had been chosen for route 1 allocation. Within 2 weeks of that email, I had received draft contracts and training agreements for me to review.

Hello everyone,

EffectOne, same here, been reading the forums for months (longer than that ), and first post here.

Attended interviews beginning of April, and got confirmed after four or five weeks on Route 1. I'm currently waiting for my Class 1 to confirm that everything's cool.

EffectOne, when are you starting ? PM me Anyone else starting soon with CTC ?

I've got my second email as EffectOne did however I'm not sure if it means I am on route one or not, how was it worded if you would kindly share? I have asked CTC but no response as yet.
