Now they are offering some bonus scheme upon a successful FY22 whatever it means (my guess is growth, by rather a good few percentage). The joke is the (some say it's a typo, but i have my doubts, knowing them, having worked for them) 1/12th MONTHLY payout on offer! Without the "extras" of course...
oh, and no new-joiners or re-joiners "need to apply" as it's only considering those employees, who were employed before the 31st of March this year. What about the part time guys one would ask, who took part time voluntary to help out the company (you gotta have a serious Stockholm-syndrome to do that in any case so probably it won't even make them flinch)? Well, you're not cutting it for the bonus next year, I'm afraid as it's only for full time employees...

Problem that they will have is that lot of Captains even “bad apples” found a job with stable roster and decent salary in Western Europe.
so if they want me to come back I would ask for pre pandemic conditions and roster to be able to come and see the family.

These magenta presentations, emails, pdf-s, etc. are not even worth the paper if they are printed out. All these carrots dangled by wzz management are essentially worthless without having them put it in writing and including it in a collective bargaining agreement.
Just have a look at Confair or even the local contracts. They were changed overnight last year with a promise that pre-covid salaries will be re-established with all the other "extras" this April. None of that happened.
They literally have their pilots by their balls and thousands of others too who would join this outfit in a moment if they were given the opportunity.
I have never seen anything to this extent for an airline management to use and abuse their pilots. At least probably not since the earlier post 9/11 years at ryr.

I'd say this time it's the other way around. There was a single time through 17 years when all the employees got a bonus (albeit a pathetic one), after the IPO. Offering a bonus (albeit a pathetic one again) on their own will shows that they feel the heat. The crewing was botched big time. The braggadocio about being THE airline spooling up the quickest when the time comes somehow stopped recently, just when it should finally happen. IMHO it's the best possible time for the crew to stand up for themselves.

Oh yes, I remember. Was the bonus 4 or 8 xmas tickets during the IPO period? Thought it was a joke back then, finding it disgusting now.
Look. I think we have discussed this thing about wzz crews getting together, standing up, etc. It won't happen. It's just not part of the culture anywhere in Eastern Europe, I'm afraid.

Only half a speed-brake
Now that you've teached us the needed lesson perhaps time is up to roll back to your own turf, enlist with BALPA and join a seniority-based airline at the bottom of pile who will give you job protection in the downturn of 2055.
Just leave the EE jobs that pay EE wages flying EE passengers who saved from their EE salaries to EE pilots. In other words, do yourself a favour and stop undercutting our T&C's. Win-win?
It's not like the Westerner's actually came to WZZ in order to circumnavigate the proper professional structures back home, hoping to cut the line for DEC jobs later and show their own class-mates the finger. A prime union spirit indeed, but only after failing at the EasyJet assesment.
EDITED for completness: Anyone able to list the shareholders' pedigree, to see which proper culture it is actually calling the shots?

It was actual money for the ones with the company for more than a year (or three years?)
You can't say it's not the culture anywhere in Eastern Europe as the Romanians and the Ukrainians tried.
However we can say it's not the culture among pilots as it was the cabin crew both times.

Its about the economy, not the strength. The CC of ROM and UKR cannot be replaced by alien crews (no matter the passport) as the salary lever does not allow relocation or commute from other countries, and there is no cheaper foreign workforce available. That gives them a small piece of wood to stand on and hold their ground.
Neither of which would apply to pilots who are mobile and thus replaceable from the outside. You want the EEs to have a union? Don't come to fill their seats after they got fired for starting one, ffsk!
Yes, adding the list, the Hungarian Union has also failed to materialize many times (well before your average PPRuNers time) as did the Polish one of RYR pilots in 2018.
Speaking of RYR holdings, how well did the union go for the Austrians from Lauda motion who had their CBA signed and published on the ministry's website, all legal and proper? A.K.A it does not get any more west than Ireland in the EU, it does not get any more cultural than Vienna in the EU, it does not get any more pilot-unionized than the US shareholders. Still meant nothing.
There is some good progress recently. Tracking back to RYRs return to France, full employment contracts in Spain and Italy, fire still burning strong for the good cause in Denmark and Netherlands. Wizz losing the plot in Scandinavia.
The difference is not about individuals being less or more chicken****, it's whether or not you can replace the pool. Reagan / ATC is mandatory reading ND 49er's too.
If it is too large or too costly to replace, after years of causing grief and building all imaginable obstructions, the Corporation will tolerate the existence. If there is no other cheaper way.
The small countries and tiny bases of EE lack the leverage of causing economic loss to the company.

I think the worst thing you can do is blaming westerners taking eastern european jobs here... We have heard this line many times before the other way around. Not a good thing going down that rabbit hole believe me. It just further divides and fractures the pilot group... My experience was however whenever i flew with someone and the dreaded union subject came up was always mixed emotions. There were the ex-major/natl' guys who were the biggest capitalists when it came down to this subject and trying to oppose it whenever they had a chance and there were the younger generation (from all over europe, not just westerners) who would've liked something like that just lacked the knowledge and will to start getting together. I'm sure if something would be formed by the latter the other group would try and piggyback on the opportunity immediately. I'm sorry to say, but i guess i can as an eastern european: i have never experienced as much undercutting, getting things done outside the scope of published waiting lists, etc. like i saw it during my time at wizz. And no, these wheeling and dealing was not done by westerners but by locals. Every. Single. Time.

Prepare
Hello guys i know this thread is not for asking this short off questions but do you know which website is more reliable to study and prepare for wizz air interview(type rated)i have been out of the cockpit for basically 1 and a half year now would appreciate your help.
The Latest Pilot Job seems to be reliable, https://www.latestpilotjobs.com/.
But, it would be great to have some advice from others who did the assessment more recently.

In June more than 120 pilots were hired from holding pool(ex-employees). Simulators working at full capacity even in August. LTR Captains are very busy too. Still not enough crew for this summer.
It is not clear if more pilots will be hired because they will reach flight deck closer to the season's end.
Exclusively Balkans. However you are free to apply for any other base immediately after line training(not clear how likely to be approved).

Anybody could shed some light on what bases are offered for new joiners?

Mr.Vadim
same here, shortlisting in process.
the email came 9 months after registration.
if anyone could shed some light about current contract details, new captain salaries, roster and expected bases it would be very helpful.
any possibility of commuting? I read somewhere that there is a 14/7 or 20/10 roster, besides the regular 5/4. Is that actual ?
