Hi, congratulations on making it to stage 3. There is a presentation with the opportunity to ask questions to the oaa and Easyjet teams.

All the best with the stage 3's!

CAE

Hi ,

I passed the 3 phase at CAE , I'm wondering now if it is the best solution regarding the price.
Actually you can make the modular courses (ATPL) with Oxford and CPL IR MCC in other FTO for 40 000 euros accommodation included , and after a type rating Airbus or Boeing for 20 000 more and if you can't find a job pay 20 000 more for 300 hours on the aircraft. It will not guaranty a job after but type rating with 300 h will be easier to find one.

Is it necessary to pay more than 110 000 pounds ?

@ventus2cxa, well done for passing stage 3

With regards to pricing and what's worth, I think that 110K pounds is way too much however you will be guaranteed a job after the end of your training with OAA, so at least none of your money would be lost since you already got a job

Are you sure that 300hrs on type costs just 20K pounds? that means its only 66.6pounds/hr

Thanks all!

And congratulations @ ventus2cxa!!

I do share your concerns regarding the price and what I'll be left with after loan repayments and tax. And also regarding perm contracts at 75% etc.

I too have considered taking the modular route, but my main concern with this is the options available to me at the end of it.

@left base: I haven't passed, not even heard from oaa yet...I was giving a congrats to to the other guy

In my opinion it would be a bit vague to consider whether or not to go the modular wayat this stage, since you have shown excellent performance and been chosen, that is if it was me I would definitely finish up the necessary stuff to confirm my place

Apologies, I have now edited!

Has anyone else received any feedback from OAA regarding stage 2 or 3?

@alex: I wouldn't give up this early, first of all it has only been a week since the skills assessment. Stage 3 is continuing as from next Monday so if OAA/Easyjet won't meet their quotas for applicant entries, I presume OAA will send more positive emails

I have been told last week by an OAA skills training guy, that an email will be sent irrelevant being positive or negative reply. So sit tight and try to forget about it for a while

Can someone please help with the education requirements. It says you need 2 A-levels at grades BC, including maths and a science.

Does this mean that you must have a B in maths and a C in a science, or a C in maths and B in science ? Or can the grades B and C be in any A-levels, but 2 of the A-levels have to consist of maths and a science ?

I believe it means you need to have A-Level maths and an A-Level in a science, where together they make up at least grades BC.

So basically if you have a B in maths and a C in physics/chemistry/biology, or a C in maths and a B in physics/chemistry/biology, (or better) then you're fine.

If you read carefully the requirements are at least two A level grades, at BC or above, with one of the grades being in a maths or science subject.

Hence a B in any subject plus a C in either Maths or Physics/Chemistry/Biology would be sufficient.

Best of luck.
