Congratulations all on the positive replies! Keep your head up if you didn't get through this time, you will next!!!!

I am still awaiting a response from Oxford and I am really nervous, finding it hard to put it out of my mind and wait.

Good luck all those still waiting news.

I completed Stage 2 on the 23rd of May at CAE OAA. I've made it through to Stage 3 thankfully! Which is meant to take place next week on Tuesday/Wednesday.

It is funny that CTC is already giving answers as they are not done with selections yet. I have booked a day on June 23rd.

Congratulations to the lucky ones !

Found out I made it onto the program and I also passed the CAA medical, so can start celebrating now!

I enjoyed the medical, especially chatting to the other people. Its like a selection day without as much stress! However two (out of the four) of the people who attended at Gatwick didn't pass. They had undiagnosed problems, so I recommend that you get this before you start making other firm plans.

I think Oxford are trying to fill up the August class first. So if I can get everything in order for that then I should be flying a A320 in March 2016!

Congrats to everyone who made it. For those that don't know the outcome, I hope the FTO let you know soon..

Well done to all those with positive responses, I'm still crossing my fingers.

Has anyone who was on the CTC easyJet shortlist had any rejections yet, or any positive replies for CTC August/Sept starts?

@Danny212 I'd imagine the majority of successful applicants would be taking out the loan (I might be wrong though!) so something doesn't seem to add up when they say the loan application can take three months yet they have only given one month's notice for those starting in July?? I'm sure the process could be expedited if needs be - perhaps someone with more experience of the loan process could advise?

I spoke to the finance department at Oxford, not sure if this rings true for CTC but I was told that they know how long the application for the loan can take and as long as you can show that it is being processed and you have met the requirements they are generally happy to take you on until the loan is approved.

I think they prefer you to have the money for the deposit though but I'm sure they will understand if you can't scrape that together. A girl I know on the MPL course this year said someone on her course only got the loan sorted last month and applied for it this time last year! So they do understand that the loan can take a while to get sorted.

Hope this puts your mind at rest but as I said I'd check with CTC first!

Thanks for the info @BilOllyG, that's really interesting to hear about the flexibility with timescales for getting the loan sorted. I suppose the only worry would be to be declined for the loan and have already commenced the course but I'm sure BBVA would advise initially on whether the loan is likely to be accepted.

Cheers and good luck to the rest of us still waiting!

Danny212, did they mention anything about VAT? I am yet to hear back but in my planning I am hearing that it is not included but applies for VAT...

Also worth noting that interest is accrued from drawdown so the longer you can put that off the better. Ideally you would want to drawdown on a monthly basis reducing the total interest payable but I am not sure if that is possible.

Congratulations to all who have made it through so far. Just got my email inviting me to attend stage 3 of the assessment with OAA, very excited!

One thing that caught me by surprise is the line at the bottom which says:
"Before you can be offered advancement you will be required to have an in date Instrument Rating."

I have a PPL currently, but haven't even thought about an IR! Did anyone else have this problem?

Red face OAA stage 2 assesment

I went through the stage 2 on friday 13th.

To be honest I've been disappointed on the way applicants are treated...

I am still waiting for the results.... I hope to be lucky enough to be selected for stage 3 And hope I will have enough time to organize my trip to Oxford from Toulouse.

Concerning the tests... cold start with to my sense the most difficult one! And what about this incredible personality test!

Yes applicants were treated like primary school children, they seemed severely short staffed to say the least. Considering they were making around 4k from the applicants on the day, one would hope for more respect....

I am also sure that we should have been allowed as much time as possible on that silly 225 question test....they just seemed to have double, tripled booked and wanted it all done asap... there were even people starting at 3.30pm

anyone else from Friday 13th get a response???

OAA Stage 2

@alexisbarboule, @Boe787ing: I have also attended the stage 2 at OAA last Friday morning (13th). Personally this was my first time sitting for these kind of tests, so I can't compare this experience with anything. However I totally agree with you that the first Maths test, was hard, although I guess that this Maths test was used to easily shortlist applicants at a glance, where speedy calculations had to be a priority. Same as you guys I'm still waiting for a reply from the academy.

@FlyingColours1, Well done and wish you best of luck When was your 2nd stage done? Was it in June 7 or 13th?

@mclodeon. I had the opportunity to visit the OAA a day before the assessment and therefore asking some important questions to the guy who was showing me around. I asked him when would an applicant know the results after the COMPASS tests. He said that the results would never be shown to the applicant unless the applicant had chosen to apply for the ab-intitio course, since for the numerous amount of applicants sitting for the tests, it would be impossible to debrief them all. On the other hand he also mentioned that being either positive or negative, the applicant would always be informed during the selection process.

Have you tried to give a call to the academy maybe they can give you an indication of the current process and where do you stand?

If I'm not mistaken Stage 3 interviews had to start this week (starting with the ones who got excellent results in Stage 2), then I guess if they don't reach their quotas, they would contact the next best applicants.

OAA stage 2 assesment

@AnArChYm, i also visited the school the day before. I am really scared about the fact that the people from the commercial team are not aware about all EZ MPL aspect. I asked a lot of question, but many of them remain without answer.

Anyway, at the end of the tests someone asked for the stage 3 dates, the person said "it would be probably on June 23rd".

Reassuring when you know that stage 3 is probably the one who require the hardest preparation moreover, we are the 17th and some of us need to organize our trip to Oxford...

in any case, I wish you all good luck!
waiting this email is simply horrible!

OAA Stage 2

Hi all,

I also attended stage 2 on Friday 13th and received positive news yesterday morning. Stage 3 for me will be next week.

For those that have previously attended Stage 3, is there a presentation on the programme and an opportunity to ask questions on all the details, either to OAA or directly to the easyJet recruitment team?

Thanks!
