Having not received anything by now is not a good sign and am feeling quite depressed about it all .
I wouldn't feel depressed or nervous.

Whatever happens will happen. It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow but it will happen.

Honestly, take it easy, you'll get something soon. And whatever it is, I am sure it will be for the best.

EZY FR

I'd try not to worry about it too much just yet (obviously easier said than done), I wouldn't say no news is bad news at this stage as FTE have only just started sending out invites this morning! All the best to anyone still waiting!

Did people receive a phone call or an email?

I got a call from FTE inviting me to interview, however still waiting on getting more detailed information on the assessment day.

NotBoeing_NotGoing - see you at the assessment on the 7th then! I've also booked my slot on that date.

EZY_FR - don't despair! This in my opinion gives an indication that they are actually going through the applications in some detail.

When did you submit your application? I think I submitted mine just 2 or 3 days after the they started to accept applications.

Hi folks,

Good luck to all those who have an assessment. Somehow my form passed the initial screening and I selected an assessment in January with CAE OAA.

Now the hard part begins, particularly since it's been 15 years for me since I did any formal education, but thought I'd give it a go, last chance to realise that dream.

Any advice from those who've been through the ringer already would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

I am also waiting to hear from FTE. I applied quite late and had trouble submitting my application, if my memory serves me correctly EZY_FR you were in similar position as me and had trouble submitting your application.

I take it as though they going through application as and when they were submitted. In my opinion we have as much as anybody else who have applied lets and wait and see what they will say.

Let's keep on dreaming!

CAE OAA

Folks,

Good luck to all those with an assessment date, some how managed to get past initial screening and booked in for an assessment in January.

The easy part over, now with 20 years of various occupations I have taken the last chance at the dream.

Anyone any advice that's been through the assessment. Trying to brush up on a few things...too late to re-learn, if I ever actually learnt it in the first place.

All, reasonable advice welcome.

Cheers.

Anyone applied to OAA but not had an answer yet? I've heard loads of people have got a date but I haven't seen any definite No's. I don't know if that's reassuring or not. I'm still waiting for an answer of any kind and its been nearly three weeks

Knoydart - it's good to see that OAA are offering January dates; I was getting worried they would soon all be over and done with. Also great that us "oldies" are getting a look in - you must be in the same ballpark as me (32 in Jan)?

Hannah222 - I also applied to OAA, very last minute (actually after they re-opened it due to technical problems), and have heard not a peep so far. I am hoping that as a PPL with excellent exam results (though quite long ago now!) and a good career history I will at least make a selection day, though who truly knows the criteria used...

Made it to final stage at BA HQ last year via OAA. Applied last minute this year with problems submitting form. I felt my answers were as good as last year.

Hold 1st class MEng EEE, PPL + IR(R), 165hrs ( 110 hrs PIC ).

Received rejection from OAA today, go figure!

Best of luck to all progressing to the next round. Make sure you know the company inside out for any interviews and have it straight in your own head your motivation and reasons for joining the scheme.

I received my invitation to the first assessment day with FTE today too. There wasn't an option to choose a January date so my selection day is in December. That was a bit surprising, but I'm not concerned about it.

Place now confirmed, along with flights, hotel and hire car.

Good luck all.

I also applied to Oxford and haven't heard anything yet. Good to see that others are in the same position, that helps to keep the spirit up.

Hi there

For those who applied to FTE Jerez and have already received the invitation, are you receiving a "No slots available." message when trying to book the slot?

Hey guys,
I also applied to FTE Jerez and have not yet received a reply. For those of you that have already been accepted, what are the available dates for assessment? Best of luck to all of you! This forum has been a great source of information throughout the experience.
Thanks,
Clinton

I'm not sure the available dates will still be available. But they were offering dates from mid-Dec to 7th Jan (and possibly even further into the future).

Hope it's helpful.

Fostex; that does seem bizarre. Surely everyone deserves a second bite at the cherry, especially since your first bite was such a big one.
