BA gave us the following figures in the presentation from memory.
Stage 1 -> 2998
Stage 2 - > 300
Stage 3 -> 140
Stage 4 -> 85
Can't remember the numbers exactly for stage 2 and 3 but think the figures were around that. Stage 2 might have been approx. 300 per FTO rather than total.
Yes, the '3 times and you're out' would have had a big bearing on how many were eligible. I must admit I thought more would have applied for stage 1 but hey ho.
Good luck to those still to have their interviews.

We got told 700 ish at stage 2. I think the whole process goes to illustrate just how high the standard set by BA is. They set a target at ~100 for this year, but couldn't get anywhere near that with 3000 applicants. You really are competing purely against a standard, nobody else. Most other jobs aren't like that, there are more candidates meeting the criteria than there are jobs so you have to prove why you're the best option.

I was quite disappointed with my performance to be honest - struggled to answer one or two tricky questions. Judging from the standard BA has set so far with the numbers (85 interviews for 100 places) I'm sure that may well be enough to derail me at this final hurdle!
Alas, our failures are of course our greatest lessons and I shall come back stronger if it doesn't happen this year.
Best of luck to all those also awaiting their fate. I met some crackin' folks at both of my Waterside days, fully deserving of a place on the FPP.

Pretty similar to Tommerhawk for me I guess. It was by no means a disaster but there were a couple of questions, 1 in particular, which I feel I could/should have answered better. With the standards so high, my gut feeling is that I probably missed out, but you never know.
Is today the last day of interviewing? At the end of the day they are not going to make it easy for anyone so you may have done better than you think...
I'm finding the waiting worse than the interview!

Hey guys and girls,
I was there yesterday. The part with the pilot went very well and the bit HR bit went reasonably well but there were a couple of questions I feel I could have answered miles better. I had lots of prepared examples that would have been perfect for 1-2 questions but I didn't use them and ended up improvising on the spot.
It's normal to feel that things didn't go as well as you thought. When I came out the interview I was delighted but now having had time to reflect on the day in more detail I know I could have done miles better in certain areas..
Best of luck folks.

Funky111; Yours is a tell of absolute passion and I would like to think the person(s) in that interview room with you found pointers in these three attempts. Some are more deserving than others! Well done

Thank you very much. I'm sure there are other people in a similar situation to me applying 3 times. Hopefully I'll have a nice email on Wednesday. If not then BA wasn't meant to be for me....That doesn't mean I won't be back as DEP in 6-7 years though!

I think that everyone is feeling the same, I feel the interview with the pilot went well but in the HR member section I feel I could have answered a couple better. She asked for more when I answered so I must have missed a key word that they were looking for and looking back I still can't think what it could have been. Very best of luck to you all for the 20th, I hope that we all get the yes that we have been dreaming about!
