Hello people,

Is anyone familliar with the Line training at Farnair (ATC) (dutch company called: Aircrew training center).

Is there any chance that you will get a contract after the 400 hours on the ATR at Farnair?

Thank you!

I agree. If you really want to fly the ATR I would seek out the small operators and start working your way in. Paying a small fortune to get limited experience on this type is not something I would recommend.

From what I understand they only help students from Stella Aviation Academy, they don't take on anyone else.

You have to ask yourself Swabber, why would they offer you a contract? When there is another idiot waiting to come and pay for another set of 400 hours? Do you think it is because you are special they offer you this, or because you are paying for the linetraining?

Beavis and Butthead!

Yes sure, the solution to not having a job, is to go and pay thousands to sit in a cockpit, when you are finish, you can go home, sit with Flightsim on your computer, and still without a job, because next one has already paid for taking over your seat!

And so it goes, again and again!

Some time ago, I met a guy, who was trying to be Mr Smart Guy at his FTO, the guy was nice enough, but his attitude made me boil! However I was there on business, so I kept my opinions for myself!

He presented his grand plan, that he wanted to present for his company, this FTO have several Jet aircraft, and he has plan, brilliant idea, was to start a cargo company, and have the First Officers all pay for TR and Line training, they we he had worked it out, the money they would be paid would cover the pay of the Captain!

Swabber, in your profile it says you are 20, well if that is true, what is your problem? You got time to make an excellent aviation career, do some choices, move your a....e, do a FIC, make some contacts, or you just want it easy, somebody holding your hand to the cockpit?

I do not regret what I have done in my life, contrary, very happy with most my choices, but if I had gone back, and gone for aviation career at 20, as I started originally, vow... I tell you what, I would for sure found myself a job, somewhere, anywhere, most likely I would have been instructing!

Now attitude is that, things are not good enough for you, to many to lazy to get out of bed and find themselves something!

I mean, say I would have been a recruiter, some guy from this thread sent me a PM this morning, saying Hey Dude, do u know abt linetraining!

What you think you going to get if you can't even address people correctly, or at least write properly!

Sorry Swabber and friends, stop worrying and start living! But know that P2F is going to be the final killer of your chance of getting any good jobs!
Now isn't that a splendid idea? Imagine a world with only paying FO's?
Than you might say, that will never happen! Maybe true, maybe not all, maybe 50 - 75% of them, where will that leave you than, even with 500 hours experience on type?

this time next year P2F will not exist, it's dying out and has had its boom, now there is a backlist of applicants waiting to join the various programes on offer.

as it has been mentioned above, there are just no more aircraft to put P2F pilots in.

mark my words P2F is near its end for now....

Farnair is doing another TR + Line Training Program for 2013
FarnAir is hiring ONLY experienced captains (and not now anyways)
FarnAir partnership (Fedex,UPS and similiar) won't hire with 300 hours on Type
If you wanna do a TR + some hours experience you can do it, but if you plan to do something useful for your career you should look elsewhere...
