Fly and be an ATC at the same time?

Hi all,

I soon will be finishing up my multi-ifr training and will be on the hunt for that first right seat job, notorious for low pay. I've always been interested in the ATC side of aviation as well, and I'm wondering if its possible to have a flying position and an ATC job at the same time. If anyone has any knowledge in this area, what are the hours like for a part-time or full-time ATC position? Any information would be wonderful. Thanks!

No laws saying you cannot, friend of mine did it in a training airport in B.C. which closed at night and so he was able to have a fairly steady schedule! If you have the time to study a bit (because some things you know alread) and head down to transport canada to write some more tests, you're golden.
