Just to let you know there are quite a few people in the holding pool. From the time I went for interview I know at least 4 people in the hold pool for F/O positions, none of them have been called or updated about where they stand in terms of recruitment. I've been in the pool a longtime, but there seems to be no news for recruitment at the moment.
What bothered me about the whole process was that they told me it was for a position and not the holding pool, if I had known this in advance i wouldn't have gone through the trouble....
If what RJ100 says becomes reality I think they will take the people from the pool first (depending on how many are still left), expect a long wait in the pool. My group have been in since April. Time from applying to entering the pool was 6months.
Good luck to all that applied!

I have spent countless hours filling in these things over the last few years. Never got anywhere. Been Instructing in my spare time over that period, now got about 1200 hours.
Well had enough now thank you very much. I have been offered a drivers assessment by my local Train Operating Company early next year. Have bought the interview prep books, on the face of it doesn't look to difficult for somebody who has done the ATPL exams.
Will give it my best shot, starting salary £28,000, for a 36 hour, 4 day week. Pension plus free staff travel on the railway. Begin as a depot driver, then once you become a mainline driver (within 2 years) its £40,000 for the same hours.
And guess what? They pay for your training, your don't get charged for the interview, they pay for your uniform, ID, everything!
And with 3 days off a week still plenty of time to enjoy a bit of Instructing without the worries of having to make ends meet.
Nothing guaranteed, but I am going to give it my best shot.

BA City Flyer
Hi guys,
Has anybody got any recent information for the interview process?
So far I know its similar to BA mainline (hr interview, compass test, etc)
but im looking for the HR style questions. Ive read that the questions can be found on the BA thread but that is now currently at 151 pages and quite frankly is way of topic and nothing to do with Cityflyer.
Any help is much appreciated.

Here's my experience.
Last year I went for their interview. I'd just failed BA mainland, and wanted some practice. Its was very similar to BA mainland.
They called me and ask if I'd like to attend. At the time I had around 1500 hrs 737NG time.
Think there were around 8 guys on my day, and believe there were 4 days of recruiting. The rumour was 8 positions where being sought after, 2 DEC and the rest FO's. I know for a fact that at least 4 of the 6 FO positions filled where done so with guys from FTE, could have been all 6, but I know personally of 4. The rest I can't comment. Good on them for recruiting cadets, and not asking them to pay for a rating I say, but the salary kind of reflects that, and not many people flying even for the company I do, would leave for that salary.
Good luck
