737 full motion sims

Hi everyone,
I don't have a TR, but would like to have some experience before getting in an interview where I'll have to fly the 737...
Now, I know there are two main options: first one is to get to those training companies down at LGW or LHR where you pay 1000-2000 pounds for one or two hours training... I know those are proper simulators made by CAE, and all sort of stuff... BUT... don't you think that 1000 pounds an hour is a bit too high?
Second option is that Bruges Air College... I've been there and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone... It runs on Flight Simulator, the FO side of the screens where all fiddling a bit, and I had to swap with the guy, flying from the left seat, as my screens were giving me headache...
Is there any THIRD option? Maybe something not so expensive as a proper official sim, and not so "home made" as the Bruge one...
I also live in Cambridge, so possibly something not too far away??
I know I'm asking for a lot of things, but the Bruge experience has been a bit devastating for me... And would like some opinions on other routes to take...
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

CTC have an NG sim I think? Not sure how much use it gets as it seems its all airbus coming from them, so I guess you may be able to get a couple of hours. It's in Southampton though.

Might be worth giving these guys a ring if you want some time in a professional sim. I'm pretty sure they'll have access to a 737NG.
Flight Simulator - Virtual Aviation

Alternatively, there's a 'play' sim at the Bluewater shopping centre (and a few other locations). I've had a go on it and it's alright. It's a pretty good representation of the NG flight deck, so it'll probably help you find your way around the cockpit and practice SOPs. However, because it's MS Flight Sim under the bonnet, the handling and feel is way off, so it won't help with the stick skills. It'll probably work out a lot cheaper as well especially if you can negotiate a bit.

Thanks for all the advice, guys.
Really appreciate it.
I'll have a look at the iPilot one and see how it goes.
Regards to all!

Here is another one in Shannon. It is a 737NG fixed base as far as I have been informed, and not overly expensive. Boeing 737-800 NG Flight Simulator Shannon :: Home Page

The Shannon FBT looks better than the Pacific Simulator version as the former has working standby instruments in LCD format.

Presumably that's how you practise your go around, flaps15 ?

Never been there. Heard about the place word of mouth.

I practice every six months with a TRE sitting behind me.

F15, thanks for the clarification. I just thought it was a bit of coincidence that your name sounded like something out of the FCOM. Cheers.

Have a look at Virtual Flight Centre. They have a 737NG fixed base simulator and I think they offer 2 or 3 day JOC courses. One of my friends trained there to prepare for his Ryanair assessment and was very satisfied with the quality of training. Don't know how much they charge, but I think they are fairly competitve.
