Fleet?

LeedSpotter

"West Atlantic Operate the Lockheed L188 Electra which is a classic turboprop.
The other aircraft, the BAe ATP( Which is about to have a brand new avionics upgrade ), the ATR-72/500, the CRJ-200's, the BAe 146 and the Boeing 737 are in my view, a very modern fleet."

Interested to know where this info is gleaned from, as far as I am aware, only the ATP and L-188 at Cov, + the solitary 737 which I doubt will see a cadet anywhere near it in forseeable future.

Certainly not having a go at the scheme or the end products - just the info.

Edited to add......

PS: Just seen this as well:

"in Coventry AND West Atlantics HQ in Gothenburg"

There are cadets in Gothenburg??

Here are some photos of West Atlantics fleet.
Not all aircraft have been resprayed yet. This will take time to get all the aircraft in the west atlantic colour scheme.

2 port,

To clarify, West Atlantic is the result of a merger between West Air (Sweden) and Atlantic Airlines Coventry. You are correct in that what was formerly Atlantic Airlines at Coventry only operated Electras and ATPs and a 737. I understand that the 737 is used for transporting Horses hence is not used for the general freight operation (though I am not certain about this).

The 146, ATR and CRJ are from the West Air fleet. West Air was also an ATP operator.

I do not know what the exact arrangement is between West Air and Atlantic; but I would assume that as the cadet scheme originates from the Atlantic side of the operation then Cadets are only likely to end up on the ATP or Electra.

Leedspotter,

I know one or two of the guys at Atlantic / West Air, and I know from past conversations they were saying that there is not currently any ex-Fug in the LHS on the Electra fleet, so I would be very interested to know where the four year to command figure came from.

It's late and I feel like being pedantic, SE-DRN is now PK-JKC and in Indonesia.
