So I guess we can all crash at your place?

I will most likely be driving 9 hours, staying over night (near JFK), writing the test then driving back. Or driving to Syracuse then flying from Syracuse to JFK, I am from Ottawa, Canada.

The exact time and location would be nice, but I understand the people running this are very busy. Looks like no matter what I do it will be last min.

Are you planning to take B6 from SYR? They are your best bet. Watch out for wx tho'...We've been getting hit by some rather "wicked" thunderstorms here in the North East due to the usual fronts and LP systems. B6's on-time performance has not been so good as a result.

Love the E190's tho'!

No looks like the RJ's and the EMBRAER 170. Hmm maybe driving will be the safest bet.

I believe Etihad uses the Doubletree Hotel in Jamaica, NY. About 1/2 mile from JFK???

Don't 'qoute' me on this tho...
When I used to work with them(contracted)... I believe it was somewhere in Garden City...no doubt alot more expensive Virgin America Uses the double Tree.I could get a crew rate there-but i won't be here, and I have the same circumstances as Bradda G.

I may I don't have your name aboce and you will be in NY for the assessments on the 25th just copy the list add your name, and repost (to keep it current). Maybe we should add our first names since we're best friends now.

I see only 9 people their could be more (not everyone uses pprune). BUt I think if there is anyone from Etihad watching they should skip the assessments and just put us 9 through Hey, I'm just trying to make it easier for them lol

As far as studying goes, I've buried myself in numbers. I was watching Olympic basketball this morning (spain vs USA), and I found myself automatically adding and subtracting the numbers on the jerseys! And this was right after I woke up!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, Spaniards + basketball=not so much (crap I can't stop the math stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I will be there too guys - also still anxiously waiting on the details, hopefully in the next couple of days! I will be arriving on the 24th as well and staying until either the 25th or 26th. Definitely getting antsy though!

Im pretty sure thats what we all have been doing. I have a funny story though. I took a personality test and whenever questions related about the importance of making a lot of money I always selected 'not important' (I was serious because I think flying for money is the greatest thing since Top Gear and sliced bread). So at the end of the test it said something like 'you are the ultimate sales person but your love for money will hinder your job performance'. Could you imagine that bull crap

I want some taco bell right now but Zaazoo's got the car.....I hope they have a taco bell in the UAE

BTW this is the most hilarious picture I have found on my journey throught the interwebs.........

First Day of Assesments

Hello All,
I'm glad to see all of you preparing for the assessment.

SO far, in my opinion it is evident that the first day will be of tests... however would like ya'll to confirm..?

I hope they would not have tests, that consists of joystick and all..

I am using my previous GMAT text to practice math questions...

Marlim:
Would you be having any more websites that offer free sample tests...? And could advise , from where were you able to purchase the phsyc. tests texbooks...

Take care and wish everyone, the VERY BEST OF LUCK!!!!!

Hi everyone

I have also received the NYC invitation for Aug 25th.
However, like everyone else, i have yet to receive a followup email from Etihad confirming time and exact location.

I just joined PPRune to see if anyone is in the same situation, and am slightly more comfortable to know that I'm not alone!

Btw, i'm from Ottawa as well, MJetR

Well i got an email from them about the 25th date i replied a couple days latter but still haven't heard a reply with the details, I'm a bit worried as its in about a week. Anyway I'm waiting with you guys, and I have to say this forum is good because i want information but this is more cutthroat than what I'm used to. Ive been on the air traffic control forums for a while but i guess its a civil service job so no one cares that much about competition. Anyways for you guys who don't get in that are us citizens consider looking in to air traffic control, they are hiring right of the street for those guys all you have to do is fill out the app and take the test (not that hard of a test). Good luck.

About the Test Books

@ nomee747

I always buy my books from Amazon.com...although I'm in the UAE...I can save over $12 per purchase (compared to the prices here) including the shipping costs from USA to UAE.

----------------------------------

I had to delete my previous post...as I have recieved a lots of PMs about removing it...the messages were convincing...

Welcome feras23!

The reply from EY depends on when and where you apply. I heard from them within 3 weeeks of my application. Some folks here had to wait a while due to the assessment schedules and the time of their application.

As for upper tier quals...I don't think they are any restrications (non flying that is). In addition, this round is about being assessed i.e. aptitude test. I am not sure if they look at your CV in detail at this stage of the game.

I could be wrong tho'...

Cheers,
Bradda G

Bradda & Feras23

I have to correct you guys on that one. There are flying restrictions. Seeing as how this is an ab initio program (flight training from scratch) NO individual will be considered with a CPL or above. Any persons carrying a CPL will NOT be considered for this program as they would be deemed over-qualified.
