They are not the greatest payers and if your not a Slovak a type rating is needed. Also you need to be fluent in Slovak and Polish. I think they've got a large number of NG's on order but that nots for certain so dont quote me. I've got a friend who's sister works in Brataslava airport for Sky if you need anymore info PM me.
Hope that helps

The pay for FOs went up following the great FO exodus of early-2005 ppjn.com reflects this. You don't need Polski/Slovensko. When I was there the pilot community was comprised of Slovak, Czech, Polish, British, French, Spanish, Italian, Belgian, Dutch, German, Hungarian, Argentinian, Australian, Slovenian, Austrian, Danish and Greek.
The present fleet consists of 3x735s (replaced when the 73Gs arrive) 7x73Gs (the latest of which got the record for distance travelled on a 737-700 on its delivery flight) and 3x733s (some disappearing to Thomsonfly, check www.aerotransport.org). Bases are BTS, BUD, KRK, PRG and VIE (opening in March). The presence in WAW is now pitiful with a mere daily from ORY originating in KRK. Wizzair got the drop on them in the capital unfortunately.
New financing secured for the next load of 73Gs. Future looks hopeful - just hope Ryanair don't arrive in that part of the world. The latest Director of Flight Ops is a top bloke, he knows how to fly and he's fair to the staff.
Nice people to work with - and a day without visitng Cirkus Barok in BTS is like night - jeden dzien bez cirkus barok jest jak noc.

I've applied to Sky Europe a few times, but not even once have they found me worthy of a reply.
So, in short, don't expect any miracles.

Desperate...is my middle name!

I'm happy to say the 8th NG arrived last week (one more coming this month i think). I have heard that they have hired some new people due to some more FO's leaving, so sorry for you missing out on that.
As bluepeely says; they are not the greatest of payers (a laugh really), but i find it a particularly nice team to work with. Also, with the big expansion plans, i can imagine advancement opportunities are good. No need to speak Slovak or Polosh for that matter, as already mentioned. TR required for non Slovaks though.
sickBocks, i found Sparx to be a better option, as i can find the exit there without veering to the left before going up the stairs!
What's happened of you anyway, just curious..

Chodis rovno, nadis hovno! (or thereabouts)

Well, guys get a job with them if you really need it but just be aware that they are one of the most unprofessional comapies that I really know, at least from a flight deck point of view....

This information is 3 years old. Quite a comprehensive assessment:
1) ATPL theory test, various questions on law, met, PofF etc - just go through your ATPL notes briefly
2) Personality test
3) Interview - who are you, what do you want, what would you do...
==========
and if you get through that..
4) Simulator assessment, the assessor who did mine is now gone so no point posting what he got me to do because it was all personal choice of the assessor.
Like I said - 3 years ago so might be out of date

Good luck with Sky. They are a fine company that is developing in this rough business. They have an American working for them too.

737 TR & valid JAA recognized Licence to join ESK

Hello,

As ESK 737 CD for 2 yrs, I may confirm two american pilots are working in ESK (as F/O and CD).
Only criteria beeing a high professionalizm and good CRM.
ESK is an equal opportinity employer. More languages You know, the better, but no exclusive preference is given to slovak, czech or polish.

Try and see.

I'd like to know, how many pilots passed last interview (6-8th of June). There were 15 candidates, but I know the only one, who was hired.

Are you guys both rated on any B73X? Age? Any restriction of this kind with this carrier? If TR is still required which TRTO are they dealing/addressing people to?

Best luck

DK
