I'm afraid the training bond is just a rumour.

Henair and Echocharlie3012:

I got the briefing package today, and want to ask you the following:

- In which seat will you act as PF (left/right)?
- What procedure will you utilize when setting thrust for T/O?

Either seat, they let you choose.

Use the procedure that is in the briefing pack. PF takes thrust to 40%, PF advanced to T/O thrust, PF calls "Set thrust", PM adjusts thrust levers and then guards them until rotation.

They don't actually care if you don't do that, but it's easier for the PM(Because you don't get long to practice) if you stick to common procedure.

Anyone here that applied later and have heard something? I know it's only 3 weeks and some wait for years, but a buddy from flight school applied few days before me and already received the phone call...

Hey guys,

I've been reading the forum for quite a long time now, but it is my first message on it.

I applied to Ryanair about one month ago, and I didn't recevied anything yet. I know one month is not a lot, but I saw some guys being called a few days after application.

I just want to make sure my application is complete, because the cae website is not very clear. Here is what I have .

[IMG][/IMG]

Could anyone confirm this is correct ? Because I don't see anything like "thank you for your application" or "application completed" etc..

Thanks a lot for you answer !!

TheFlyingFrenchman66, no worries, your page is normal!
It is possible that they call people in function of the bases they put in the system. That's why we use to say that it is really random... because we don't really know the needs for a particular moment.
CAE is in charge of the recruitment but they probably get instructions from Ryanair.
Anyway, 1 month waiting is nothing! Patience is going to be your friend in aviation and it starts now
All I said is what I think, based on discussions with others pilots, it might be true or not!

Hi Eimin,

Yes it is. You just go to your Ryanair training request on CAE webpage and the press "Edit" on the left margin.

Cheers

Type Rating Preparation

Good afternoon,
Those of you who have completed or are about to attend the type rating, what are you doing to prepare?
Mine begins in a few months and I don't know what I should be looking at other than the usual places like smart cockpit etc.. Is there a particular site or piece of software that most Ryanair cadets use? Thanks
