Has Anyone done DEC non rated assessment recently? I was wondering if I will be asked tech questions on my current type, or on the B737?

PM me if you like .

From what I've seen for all candidates you will definitely be asked on current type (or class in the case of cadets), and what appears to be a test on your level of knowledge of the 737. This is all at the oral interview, confirmed by a few mates, experienced in commercial/corporate but NTR on 737.

Just out of interest, do they still offer “self-employed” contract (Storm/McGinley) to cadets, or it’s RYR employment only now?

Ryanair interivew

@ The Crew, latestpilotjobs has a interview preparation for ryanair, but it is more towards cadets for their online assessment and they call it Irish Low Cost Carrier preparation (don't ask me why they change the name). Below are few questions asked from my interview as non rated DEC (very easy interview)

The assessment lasted the entire day and we where around 6 pilots (experienced pilots).

Then they started to give us a brief about the simulator assessment and they run it as a loft. I flew for 90 minutes and used current companies sop’s and work as a team (CRM).

After that it was briefing about the company (base/workpattern and salary)
Then we had an hour HR questions with a TRE and mainly asked about my history and where I prefer to be based at. Then he asked 3 questions
  • memory item on current airplane
  • one question about low approach go around procedure
  • some icing question which i don’t remember
Don’t stress it is easy interview

Hi Turkpilot, was the loft the same scenario as has been talked about here for the last 100 pages, or something different
for experienced guys? 90 mins of flight, that was presumably a total as PF and PM ?

By the way , did you get your 1st base choice, assuming you took the job?

It varies, it take 2 hours to 16 days from previous comment. Sometimes it can take longer.

Hi guys,

In a couple of days I have my assessment for RYR in London-Stansted.

FYI: I'm First Officer double rated both on A320 and B737 (with more experience on Boeing). I flew the A320 last but 737 rating is still active.

Was anybody of you also in Stansted for assessment in the last time?
What to expect there (especially with my background) - any differences to the already mentioned things from Dublin e.g.?

And another thing:
Since I fly in airline I changed to digital flight logbook (MCCpilotlog). How shall I handle it? Can I bring my iPad and show them all entries there or shall I print out all data and put it into a folder?

Thank you very much in advance for any help and/or suggestions!

I’m going for an assessment in the near future.

You should get in contact with the recruiter who offered you the assessment and ask them directly

Hi guys! I have to do the online assesment in the next days and I will be out of my home, there are any "ability" games to do? I mean, do I will need a computer and a mouse to do that or it's gonna be ok with a tablet?

Any advice about that will be apreciated, Thanks!!
