Question emailing CV's

To any HR bods out there...

I was wondering how emailed CV's are processed against hard copies. Wouldn't the Chief Pilot prefer it in that form (to have the pleasure of putting in the bin in some cases!) whereas a CV on screen may not give the best first impression.

Just a query as I would have thought posting them gurantees the quality and size for how you would want it to be seen whereas opening a file in Word and scrolling down seems tedious and doesn't have the same impact.

CV's

Hi,

I work in HR but its not Airline related. I think it will vary from
Airline to Airline. The majority of the time I would rather see the CV on screen first and give it a quick once over. If it's any good
I would then print off a copy.

So, I would say that it is just as acceptable to e-mail in your CV but its would be worth giving a call to make sure its not lost in the inbox or my favourite "Sorry..... I didn't seem to have received it, maybe its a fault with my computer, can you send it again?"

Best of Luck!!!
