Conversion CPL JAA en CPL FAA
 

Bonjour,

Avec un CPL JAA comment peut-on obtenir un CPL FAA, faut il faire qu'un test en vol ou bien faut il tout repasser?
Je suppose que le written test doit être repassé?

Voir les FAR, Part61 pour les licences et trouver le bon chapitre.

§ 61.123 Eligibility requirements: General.

To be eligible for a commercial pilot certificate, a person must:

(a) Be at least 18 years of age;
(b) Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language. If the applicant is unable to meet one of these requirements due to medical reasons, then the Administrator may place such operating limitations on that applicant's pilot certificate as are necessary for the safe operation of the aircraft.
(c) Receive a logbook endorsement from an authorized instructor who:
(1) Conducted the required ground training or reviewed the person's home study on the aeronautical knowledge areas listed in §61.125 of this part that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought; and
(2) Certified that the person is prepared for the required knowledge test that applies to the aircraft category and class rating sought.
(d) Pass the required knowledge test on the aeronautical knowledge areas listed in §61.125 of this part;
(e) Receive the required training and a logbook endorsement from an authorized instructor who:
(1) Conducted the training on the areas of operation listed in §61.127(b) of this part that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought; and
(2) Certified that the person is prepared for the required practical test.
(f) Meet the aeronautical experience requirements of this subpart that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought before applying for the practical test;
(g) Pass the required practical test on the areas of operation listed in §61.127(b) of this part that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought;
(h) Hold at least a private pilot certificate issued under this part or meet the requirements of §61.73; and
(i) Comply with the sections of this part that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought.


Tu ne peux présenter l'examen théorique qu'en étant "présenté" (endorsement) par un instructeur, ref (c)(1)et(2).

Pour l'examen pratique il te faut également un minimum de training et un endorsement par un instructeur pour pouvoir te présenter, ref (e)(1) et (2).

Avoir l'experience mini pour l'examen pratique en fonction de la classe ou rating qui t'intéresse (ref (f)), voir pour ça le chapitre 61.129.

La ref (h) t'impose d'avoir déjà une licence privée délivrée par les USA (un private under §61.75 peut faire l'affaire - des infos ICI).

Et au minimum un medical Class3 pour l'examen en vol.

On ne peut pas se presenter en candidat libre aux written test :bored: ???

A la lecture du § 61.35 Knowledge test: Prerequisites and passing grades il me semble que pour un PPL ou CPL il faille au minimum complete a home-study course et la signature d'un instructeur qui reviewed the person's home study (même si un ground training n'est pas forcément nécessaire).

(désolé pour le franglais mais c'est plus facile ;) , et puis you must "be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language":E

En revanche le training et l'endorsement pour la pratique ne sont pas forcément nécessaire :
lire § 61.39 (c)(1)

Il se peut que j'ai raté le paragraphe équivalent pour la théorie.
Le mieux est encore de poser la question directement à la FAA (ou peut-être FlightSafety, chez qui tu peux passer les written tests au Bourget, saura te répondre).

Il faut convertir ton JAA CPL en FAA private, puis passer le written et la pratique. Les détails sont bien expliqués dans le post au-dessus.
