Loadmaster tickets
Hi guys (n girls?)
so with 15 years in with Ops, how do you go about getting checked out as a Loadmaster. Please do not suggest CrabAir, as I am 35 and in the industry on the civilian side. As I now find myself single with no ties at all, it appeals again. Over to you........ Thanks in advance Bored |
Well with lots of loadies back on the ramp due to Heavylift and Cougar you might find yourself at the bottom of the heap. However if you don't mind hauling around the world try AA. Send me a PM and I will point you in the right direction.

Cant seem to come up with any other options for you than to try Channex, might not be recruiting at the moment, but at least youll be on file!! FDD would be the one to speak to on that! As for his suggestion of AA (Atlas Air????) If thats the case, youll need to be current with another 747F operator, have a current hazmat certficate (full course, not the 2 hr refresher some are used to!). Atlas and all 747F operators require experience as well, the job tends to involve flight manager aspects as well (paying landing fees, fuel etc) when on charters. I think MK is a closed shop these days, Hydro are struggling, as for the others, maybe its an idea to get in with DHL (EMA) or UPS (CGN) to get some experience. Other than that, try FreightDodgyDog, he may be able to point you in the right direction

If it is that blooming tight right now, and I dare say to get worse as time goes on. Guess I missed another whim and should be happy for the trade I have. Far be it for me to try and poach the bread and butter from the invol grounded, I sure don't like it happening in my type of office.
