Chanex question
Hi chaps,
Just a quick question regarding A300s(i think!) belonging to chanex which I often see on the ramp in Dublin. The starboard trailing edge is painted bright orange but the aircraft seems to be loaded on the port side. Any ideas why? Cheers |
The main deck is loaded from the port side the holds from the starboard, the dayglo orange is an attempt to stop people driving handling equipment in to the trailing edge. An Electra was damaged some years ago in Edinburgh when somebody did just that.

Its' a shame I say, tha nobody thought of painting the port main gear dayglo orange on tha Electra. Then it would of been seen disappearing into tha mud at Edinburgh! Having said , a BAF
Viscount followed tha Amusing Boy Blunder only a week later and trashed its props::p Now anyone for a lovely cup of Yorkshire Tea, I ave washed me hands!! |
You could paint the whole F27 fleet day glo but that still wouldnt stop the dozy f***ers in EDI from driving into them!!!!
The same goes for Airways at EDI too!!! Did everyone have a nice picy in CRM today?? Gooood..... Or maybe its to help the A300 crews to know their left and right!!! |
