74world:
Many thanks for the information. As you say, it would make sense to transfer that particular airframe to the UK register. |
Have to correct you there 74world.
TJA is still on OO register and TNTA's AOC. It is currently doing various ad-hoc flights. The operation will possibly stop in early May. It is however still possible that is will continue. |
TJA
TJA (Ex-494MC) used to be on the G reg as G-SSSB.
TNT Not using it though, even it is on the AOC and OO-reg. |
think TJA is flying on behalf of cal after there hiccup on 4X ICL

BRISTOLRE:
You're at it again! No aircraft (according to the CAA) has so far carried the registration G-SSSB. If you mean G-GSSB then that aircraft is ex-N491MC. The CAA does not reallocate the same registration to two different aircraft unlike some countries such as the USA and Australia. 74world: Contrary to your report, some TNT pilots have been flying OO-TJA since 3rd April. |
To be fair, though, the original application for transfer to G-GSSB was for N494MC. Delays in the recertification of G-GSSA and the launch of GSS caused a change in plans, and 494 went to TNT as OO-TJA instead. Then, a new application for G-GSSB was filed for N491MC.

My spy tells me that N494MC went to TNT because it was cheaper and had less complications on the ownership front than N491MC. In any event, N494MC never ever carried the registration G-GSSB (or G-SSSB for that matter).
