Broken Do Not Disturb Sign!
Read a really good one here some time back re hotel staff ignoring DNDS's, laughed so much my ribs hurt, about a broken DNDS because it didn't work.
In my case I wrote a letter to the manager asking "what part of do not disturb" do your illiterate house keeping staff not understand. Can someone re-post that or direct me to it's location, I want a copy. Thanks guys. Freight Dog :D :D |

Thanks fellas I really appreciated the response, now have a copy.
Reading that again I think perhaps I should relate my story, it wasn't funny at the time however looking back I can see some mirth (obviously a very sick Freight Dog) :) :) |
Charter airline nightstops in Manchester at a hotel where the crew were given Do Not Disturb signs with a picture of an aeroplane on them. Of course, the hotel staff ignored these and hoovered noisily in the corridors.
One night we arrived at the hotel to check in, after a tiring day. I asked the girl on the desk for "one of those signs to hang on the door that says "Please hoover outside my door all day". She said "Ooh, we haven't got any signs like that." Reply: "I had one last time, it had a picture of an aeroplane on it." "Do you mean this?" (holding up an aircrew sign). "Yes, that's it." "It doesn't say: please hoover outside my door". "No, but that's the effect it has!" Makes you feel better, sometimes, this sort of thing |
The only time I saw a 'Do not disturb - flight crew resting' sign in a hotel, there was more noise coming from the flight crew rooms than from any other room in the hotel!
