B747 Flight Engineer employment

Is there anyone out there that knows about current or future 747 F/E jobs?

GlueBall 12th September 2002 00:59

Jobs Board

Obviously the future for 747-classic F/E jobs is getting worse. The Classics are disappearing. It's a slow death of the profession. :(

Have you tried European Aviation Air Charter at Bournemouth? They have an expanding fleet of passenger classics.

Obsolete Observer 13th September 2002 09:06

But perhaps not an expanding range of charters for them to operate?:(

B747 employment

Just saw a posting for a B747 F/E on Climbto350 at Kabo Air. They want $1600 to pay for your own recurrent! What kind of deal is that? I never heard of that before!?!? Everywhere I've worked before they paid for everything, airline ticket, hotel, per diem and sim. After saying all that, what do they pay for F/E's and do they pay? Thanks.

try air atlanta, they are recruiting for the hadj

mutt 14th September 2002 09:24

I understand that EAAC will be operating the Indian Hadj, so they should be recruiting for a Jan/Feb start.

Mutt.

A certain airline in HKG is likely to have a pile of Oz based freighter F/E's think about doing something else shortly. Could be some slots coming up there.

Have you tried JALways (JAZ) through IASCO or WASINC? The starting pay is appx. $6,800 plus plus. They have about 45 Classics (200/ 300). The toughest part is passing the JCAB medical and 8 months of ground school on Japan.
