Belfast & Heavylift.
Heard over the weekend that the Belfast has "blown" an engine & is decked in the states for want of an engine. In the same conversation it was said that the A300's are being returned .
Anyone got the grif as to whats happening ?. |
So would VD quote to ship a spare out to the States?

The question is....are there any "civil" engines available...
The Tyne was/is one fine piece of machinery...as are nearly all RR engines. |
It appears your info is a little out of date as the event you are referring to happened in the 1st week of March, the engine was changed because it started producing low torque and high temps. A spare engine was shipped over to Orlando on a regular commericial flight so there was no need to charter anyone else's aircraft (the Tyne engines aren't that big anyway!)
Anyway the aircraft is currently airborne as I am writing this so no need worry anyone. |
Well I heard from an unHappylift loadie that AA was due to go back to FZO at end of month. Is this end of the A300f operation for Heavylift? Still at least there is the good old Guppy and Belfast. Maybe "chock" will get his chance to push a cart down a 737 yet!:D

MJ, if things are so rosey at good old HL, how come nearly all the crews have been (or will be) attending interviews at ChanEx?
