One heck of a ride
"The United Parcel Service Boeing 767-300F, registration N322UP, was operating as UPS238 at FL310 on a cargo flight from London Stansted to Louisville International. The aircraft encountered severe turbulence for about 7 minutes over eastern Greenland, having difficulty maintaining altitude, airspeed and directional control. The autopilot and auto throttles were disengaged several times before the flight was re-cleared to FL340. The aircraft landed safely at destination and company maintenance complied with Boeing turbulence inspection requirements."
7 minutes of severe turbulence is a long time. |
I wonder if they've recovered the seat cushions yet?
Still in the laundry shop...
I'd imagine that the seat cushions material needs replacing too after all the washers chewed out of them! :D
Boxes don't bitch.
Flying cargo we always increase speed to get back on the pavement faster :E
Severe turbulence is nothing compared to my ex's reaction after finding me in-situ screwing another one.. |
Having experienced sever turb only once in my career and only for around 30-40secs and I'm not envious of these guys!
this should be a lesson to all union negotiators to make sure you have a good dental plan.
