It's official, the CL44 is scheduled to arrive in the UK this weekend. Starting from 12th Aug it will be flying on behalf of a cargo airline based in the UK...;)

It won't be the only Tyne powered beast around as the mighty Belfast is still going strong!:)

Any idea who the aircraft is going to be working for and where it will be based?

It (9G-CLA) will be flying into MME from Smyrna. Can't say where it will finally be based yet. It is going to be operating on behalf of the people who operate the Belfast:rolleyes:

There is also a nice picture of it in this months (August) issue of PILOT magazine on page 70.

Do not know where you are getting your information from but I think 13/8/02 will be the earliest departure from Smyrna and I would think that commercial availability some time after that.
