Does anyone no thye rough cost of a cargo xray machine?
and associated running costs?

I was told today that to buy one you are looking at between GBP 110 - 140K

Single view machine between 70 & 78 K GBP, Dual view machine ( 632DV ) 108 K GBP....... Expensive... Bought one today...... Ouch !!!

I remember Customs in Miami having a mobile one, could scan complete pallet's. They found a pallet of flowers from Colombia (long stem) that had been gutted, filled with Cocain then superglued back together. The density of the superglue was the indicator.

Cost will depend on tunnel size, why not consider rental / leasing as an option ? This would normally include quarterly maintenence visits & call -outs in the event of breakdown.
For a single view m/c with a 1 meter square aperture cost would start
from about £1000 per month for a five year lease.
