747 freighter ops into HEA / OAHR ?

would love to have an opinion from our 747 pilots :

Can you land a 747 at MLW on that rwy ( 8000 ft ) ?
and can you take-off again with an empty plane ?

question to the loadies / ground handler familiar with the site :

Is there ground handling equipment available to off-load a 747 (highloader, K-loader, heavy-duty fork lifts )

thanks

without having the runway analysis in front of me and speaking from experience only, I would say yes. The landing would have to be flaps 30 most likely and (depending on model) mediem brakes at least. The take off empty is no problem at all from 3200 ft. elevation. I have had several model 747's off the ground in 2500 ft. Its prety cool.

HEA

Don`t forget the runway & taxi way strength. From memory its good for up to DC10 weight only. Please check....that was a couple of years ago and may have changed since.

I didn't forget about that, he just asked about performance I thought. Odds are the runway would be fine for a few landings. Constant use might pose a problem.
